I'd like to see Tac used a bit more myself. Maybe someday Crono can make a whorecore which features only ints. base killing ships are just bigger, slower ints.

imo its beacuse the maps we play arent even big .. whats the precent usage for Hihigher, 80%? io prolly 10% the rest we dont even use... id love to see another game played with the map universe . long hard faught games. but then again i guess that Really big and too impractical but something prolly just a Tad bit smaller than it. but yes if we keep playing hihigher like we always.. do .... no other map .. ints then do need fuel cut

PS: lets just play more different maps. and when R4 comes out i cant wait for the ability to see map revieled BEFORE launch /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />, of course other things too ^^

Could an int fuel nerf be toggleable just like how EXP can be turned on and off in R4? That way you could have your cake and eat it too regardless of what map you're on.

Well, you could do an exact copy of DN but with the Ints fuel cut and then, when R4 comes, you will be able to just switch to your DN-IntFuelCut core. (I think)

It wouldn't include TF or nix. Easier to try and fix the things that are broken first before starting over.

You would need Noir's permission before making any core based on his work. Maybe not from a strictly legal point of view but it would be common courtesy at very least.

I agree with cutting the fuel efficiency. You can still use ints for whatever then, but it would take you a lot longer if you choose to drive an int 2 sectors to kill a miner. Yes, it will make the good pilots stand out more, but it would increase the level of teamwork needed to accomplish things as exp. Expansion complex was never meant to strike out at long distances. It was meant to expand through forcing its way into sectors by over powering the enemy one sector at a time.

Right now, an int is almost as versatile as a fighter in terms of being able to switch from offense to defense. The only difference is the mechanism in which you get home. Figs rip, ints boost home at an average speed of 200mps. On balance, there is probably little difference in the amount of time it takes each to get home and dock unless the int is a long, long way from home.

I think the big issue with balances is that when something is actually decided the balance is over done. look at TF, it's damage was nerfed.. but way way too much.. can't you people do baby steps when adjusting!. nerf the fuel a little! not alot! see if it improves anything... the only reason people complain about stuff is becuase they actually notice it. if people were more suttle and comms started learning that exp isn't quite as effective they like it and they might have better luck in different situations they might change their strategies.
