Hello. I've played for a day or so, so I could use some training. All I've done so far is fly scout and fighter type ships, but of course, I'm horrible at dogfighting. Best score I've gotten is 5 kills, 5 assists, and many deaths, so yeah. I think my main problem right now is key mapping. I find it a bit difficult to press the right key in the middle of something (let alone knowing what that key does) and I'd like to get better at that. I have however read enough here and over at Allegiance Academy to give me a headache. I'm on Pacific time, usually around 10 or 11 A.M., sometimes much later at night.
Very interesting game; I look forward to dying by you people more.

Try the
Academy keymapping page to remap your keys to a better layout. I'll be playing most of Sunday, so catch me if you want a few tips.

Whoo, an actual space-sim fan, instead of the EvE/WoW fan.
There are many old skool XvT people here - Keeps (BOSS-Keeper) and Weedman come to mind. Allegiance has a sharp learning curve, and like any community, some bad apples. But it is a game worth mastering and like most of us, it'll become the only game you play.
Welcome!
Oh yeah, sign up for the cadet program
here. It'll make your life much easier.

Also, frequent mention of your undying love for a certian Bacon_00 will garner you much respect in this community. Simply saying things like "Damn, you're almost as good as Bacon!" and "The only person that could have done that better would have been Bacon!" will be rewarded with riches and virgins for all.

Demo wrote:QUOTE (Demo @ Mar 3 2007, 09:41 PM) Thanks ImmortalZ! I just played my first game for a few hours and damn its complicated o_O. So many questions and I can see it will take a while even to get to grips with the sheer volume of key binds for all the different commands/controls etc. I'm gonna sign up for the cadet program tomorrow.
Maybe if you take me on as a cadet Immortal then I can get you into the TA scene in Spring and train you up. /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" /> A new ladder and tournament system is coming to spring very soon which will make the competetive scene pretty interesting. Spring is looking pretty sexy too, and the TA based mods are very fun to play, and theres a HUGE learning curve (like this game seems to be also). /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />
Night all.

I would help you, but I do not believe I am on this time during weekday's. Perhaps weekends?
Just for clarification to the 3 newbies I will be helping, my ingame name is "BladeofGod".
