stfu onion, go get a spammer tag for 2 years for pissing off pook, then say that.

I'm on my side, in case you didn't notice during the whole thing on Friday the 13th, i was neutral, i said pook had done some things wrong, but we still need him in the community

+ in that last post i laughed at him a little for getting a tag, much like i had (<- i hinted at that) /ninja.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ninja:" border="0" alt="ninja.gif" />

i am very subtle with my posts, i drop hints at things, i post things to make people think what i am trying to say, but not necessarily have me actually post that. then i can deny ever saying it.

i say things that would be very controversial, that if said bluntly would get you many enemies, but i gt people to think it without me saying it directly.
i can, of course, be as blunt as a lemon coated sledge hammer

i knew i was close to someone trying to give me a pook fan club label, so i've allready thought about this post a little (i hadnt been pook bashing as strongly recently while he was thinknig of leaving, also, he hasnt really done anything worth bashing him for, he did mis-spell my name, but that was a one off, if it was persistant, then i could have responded to it...)

have you ever been in a picture way with pook making fun of each other

that was an edited version of pook's one which looked something like

i'm just annoyed about people beating pook up for the wrong reasons.
beat him up for the right ones that can be taken seriously.
also, don't attack work people have done for the community, if it sucks, give criticisms, but don't just bitch aimlessly
your just anoyed because i said your new faction is like my new faction, and took it to have been said more strongly than i intended

Besides, MP can't be the chair of the PFC (Woah, eerie). If anyone around here's been consistantly on his side it's been me. When he yanked ASGS, I thought in light of everything that'd happened, that was one of the best things to happen that day. ASGS should have stayed offline for 2 weeks, we all should have gone and really though about what exactly was happening. But Pook put the system up, AND, he apologized for yanking it in the first place.

Again, stats change, hillarious. Should have kept it for more than a day, but people bitched, and the point was made, so it got switched back. Unfortunately, it made it look like Pook was just being whimsical, instead saving folks from a few days of own-petard-hoisting.

Some people will just bitch about anything. The whole ELO thing especially. No sooner had the ashes of the old "ELO SUCKS VOTE IT OFF TEH ISLAND!" poll shown that almost 2/3rds of the community wanted it, we get exactly the same rant, and exacly the same wagon jumpers.

I'm glad people have their opinions, I've made mine pretty clear too. But I really wish the new ELO sucks and ELO is good because... threads would just die already. Everyone's picked their side, and now we're waiting for the balance patch and the results of said patch. Some people want to leave, some think it'll be worse, some think it'll be better. Great, we got that the first 10 times it was mentioned. We'll see who's right, wrong, and still here in TwoWeeks™. Nothing will change before that point, this will be rammed through, it's not a democracy, kindly STFU.

PS: Pook rules!

Or are you ignoring that?
What Pook said about the 1500/-15 rank thing is true, and there is a reason for it:

Elo is designed to be a zero-sum system. The winner gets as many points as the loser loses. Ours has a modification where the losing team loses more than the winning team gains, leading to a slight downward trend over time (which we've taken steps to prevent).

However, starting all newbies off at 0 would provide an additional downward trend to the system. In such a system, where newbies start at 0 and work their way up to an average ranking, over time, the average ranking of the entire system would decrease, leading to the average (supposedly vet 1, 15) decreasing to 10, 8, 5...

The 1500 with the time-modifier prevents this.

What good is a 'Pook can do no wrong' mentality if Pook admits Pook can do wrong, and apologizes for it?

Here's what I don't get.

In the U.S. we have Ham, Bacon, and Canadian Bacon.

In Canada they have Ham, Bacon, and Ham... right?

How do you differentiate between "Ham Ham" and "Canadian Bacon which you call Ham"?

Everyone around here calls Canadian Bacon 'Peameal Bacon'.

<shrug>

We don't call Canadian Bacon 'Ham'... that would be too confusing.
