This will get addressed but it will take some time, I don't see us doing an immediate release or roll back on this issue.

In response to issues about were game play changes 'approved'. This really only effects CortUI users, that UI effects game play, was that approved? Don't get me wrong, I love CortUI. My point is not everything gets approved and an advantage you had over some players is no longer there. This can be discussed in circles for pages but would be a waste of everyones time.

This effects 2 seconds of game play (yes I know for every launch and that adds up but still). Some people like the change some don't. Suck it up until we add the ability to toggle VJ during the animation (which will be the LIKELY change, I'm not promising this till the code change is made however.)

if you mod your ui file to include the minimap during launch animation (or use cort ui) you can tell AP to AP to a sector like in normal flight - allowing you to fly in very usefull directions, and also change direction to avoid camp by clicking, letting the ship turn, and then boosting

not moving the mouse doesnt help, because we are then back to flying streight, which is what this "fix" was supposed to "fix"

cort UI was truley optional.

if users are at a disadvantage by not using it, they can download it.
if they dont like all the changes, they could always have asked me for my modded ui file, which adds nice things like minimap during launch, rip count down during launch and on f3, eye in launch animation (and f3, or was that there anyway?) and maybe some other things, that i cant remember (due to getting used to them).

well, i need to revise my earlier hatred of the new mouse on launch ani cuz we got into an htt scrap today and it made recapping a hella lot easier for me. I still would like a toggle but since dogbones has already addressed this I'll shutup now.

...and ty devs for all the hard work. it IS appreciated even if it doesn't always sound that way. It's just frustrating for all us "gotta have it now" ppl to have to wait for another release. Keep up the good work though.

Or I could just leave the UI alone and get away faster/more effectively.

I know its SOOO bad you need to take the 5 mins to get used to it...

See, I don't want these features. I like the way default Allegiance looks. I dont like my scree covered in crap that I could probably figure out myself.

ap sets you on a straight course, if you are turning even very slightly you accel slower. with mouse it is almost impossible to move it so you fly perfectly straight

un-less you are suggesting that you can tell if you are eyed or not while launching / on f3, that you don't use the minimap, that having the rip count down on f3 may not be handy (incase it cancles for some reason)

p.s. please dont call corts ui mod crap, he has worked very hard on it.

i dont use it because of the inventory problem in flight, and i wasnt too sure i liked the changes for the lobby.
i prefered how alleg looked origionally, so i kept it how it looked, i just enablled the features i liked from cort ui.

Good enough for me! Enabling the toggle-button seems like the perfect solution to satisfy everyone. I just hope that this change does not take too long to implement.

I understand what you are saying in the first sentence, but not the second. Though the first point may be true, boosters compensate for the lost acceleration (Which usually doesnt matter because you ent up turning anyway).

There are very, very few times where I would really need this. Why go through the trouble of modding the game and learning how to use it efficiently just to use it once a month?

The only one I see use for is the rip count in F3 and that would just be nice to have... wouldnt change much.

I still like this change. Its already made a positive difference for me, just like it did in testing. If it were to get changed back I would be disappointed.
