Welcome kkind.

There is a lot of training and useful information on our wiki, written by the community to help you get started.

Please be aware, we will be running another CDT-I course soon, but the application form is currently not available due to a reorganisation. So do not worry, you will be able to apply for the CDT training courses soon.

I've just updated the wiki to point to the temporary sign up forms for the CDT course. If you click on the link now, you should be able to sign up for the next session.

Thanks

Greetings everyone, Arkas here to announce that I'm a new member to Allegiance and I'm all set to go. I'm what you call "new blood". I'm just finding out about this game and I've decided to join up and give it a try.

I've played a few space-based games and only a few have actual real-time control in battle. From the videos I watched it looks more like I actually get to pilot something rather then click and watch like EVE Online. I've go some long running MMO experience since I've been playing them around when Lineage and Ultima Online where nice and shiny-new.

As some personal info.. I'm going for "Video Game Software Developer" and I plan and intend to be a game designer as well. I'll be 21 this October 28th, I'm a artist by hobby, I also play "Mechwarrior 4: Mercs" with my clan WiE (Wolves in Exile).

I'm really hoping this game lives up to some of what I'm thinking it will be in terms of action and being able to use some skill and thought during play since I enjoy good PvP style action.

I'll be waiting to hear/learn more soon! Arkas out!

Welcome to Allegiance. If you like the skill and thought aspect of gaming, then you'll love Allegiance. Note that we have institutionalized a Cadet I and a Cadet II program to help folks through the learning curve (which I recommend you look into and sign up for). We also have extensive documentation in our wiki. Then we have another program for Commanders of the game. We wouldn't be doing that if it didn't positively contribute to the gaming experience.

The great thing, though, is that it's really easy to learn to fly. It's not like some flight simulator that requires a ton of knowledge and the right sequences just to start rolling down the runway. :P But learning what to do, how best to do it, and when to do it takes a long time to pick up on your own, ergo the various teaching programs. (We leave the "who" and the "why" up to the commander, but intelligent self-initiative is welcome and appreciated.) :D

Hey, I'm returning to the game! Tried it out on my netbook and it works great. I used to play as Shadow_Ranger two or three years ago, maybe more. Just thought I'd let you know why there's a (0) who is so proficient at nanning miners and proxing alephs. Hoping to get rid of the numbers so I can have some fun in a bomber or htt again :D

Cheers, I'm find it to be brilliant fun but very detrimental to my studies.
