Welcome to Allegiance. If you like the skill and thought aspect of gaming, then you'll love Allegiance. Note that we have institutionalized a Cadet I and a Cadet II program to help folks through the learning curve (which I recommend you look into and sign up for). We also have extensive documentation in our wiki. Then we have another program for Commanders of the game. We wouldn't be doing that if it didn't positively contribute to the gaming experience.
The great thing, though, is that it's really easy to learn to fly. It's not like some flight simulator that requires a ton of knowledge and the right sequences just to start rolling down the runway.

But learning
what to do,
how best to do it, and
when to do it takes a long time to pick up on your own, ergo the various teaching programs. (We leave the "who" and the "why" up to the commander, but intelligent self-initiative is welcome and appreciated.)
