Oh, I'm sorry - what did you contribute again? Oh that's right, jack. And that's not just in this topic, that's to Allegiance in general.

Thanks for your opinion rav, for what little it's worth.

We need to step back and re-assess where we're at in a new topic.. and we need someone who knows what they're doing designing a finalized layout and someone who knows what they're doing implementing the layout. We have some good designers, and some good coders, but one of the problems I see here is that the designers are trying to code, and the coders are trying to design, and it's just not working real well.

And most of these people are old people who barely use their computer except for e-mail and still haven't upgraded to broadband. Yes there are some gamers who are in a location where there is no high speed internet provider, but I'm sure that is <1%.

Very pretty.. maybe put those awards on the side or the bottom. Somewhere less 'in your face', and with consistent dimensions. Maybe the awards could even be integrated into the video (and left off the page).

Also I'm thinking the pictures above each section at the bottom should show what's going on in the text. For instance "Intense Multiplayer action" should show a bunch of ships flying together or a dogfight ;)

I agree with Orion the awards are a bit in-your-face, but I think there's enough of an advantage to keeping them there anyway. Let people see them. Hiding them away might make things look neater, but a bit messiness might be worth it for having them up front.

Also, without them the top of the page would look a bit "naked" maybe, anyway.

Also: Awesome.

Fully agreed, those images, whilst very nice, aren't representative of the gameplay at all, and unless you watch the video, you have no visual cue to what the gameplay's like on this page.

I'm also not sure about the awards, does it benefit us to shout about awards we won a decade ago? Honestly I don't know.

Actually, that's not a bad idea. What about putting on references to the couple of mentions we've had recently? Something along the lines of:

One of GamesRadar.com's best free games (or whatever that list was called).

I dunno, I just feel a wee bit dishonest claiming the old awards. Might just be me of course.
