Teaching by booting is an awful way to teach. Raum has played for some time now so that excuse holds no water. I know the "joy" of commanding when no will listen too. I understand the satisfaction of the boot and the feeling of the toe too. It isn't all that many either way but I do know them.

I'm using something from childhood, realize we aren't children anymore, and figure only a troll would dismiss my point for it.

I got smacked with a paddle while in grade school by the principle for fighting. Someone called my Mom a bad name... I was around eight. The principle asked why, I told him, and not only did I get hit for fighting, I got it for repeating the words used by the other kid. Never liked him after that day... for valid reasons too.

Many years later saw him in a mall, introduced myself, and he claimed to remember me. I was going to let him know how much I disliked him for his actions. I didn't though because he was just to darn old and seemed so sad. Maybe because he did remember me and felt bad.... nah

See I can take a boot because it isn't all that often and I usually listen unless I'm telling a fart joke.

A newer game, if this was a new game to me, where I get bounced out for making mistakes isn't going to take to long before I say $#@! this and do something else all together.

It was "ok" way back when another game took seconds to launch and you literally could never fly with them again if you had thin skin. Even back in the boot for a better Allegiance days it really wasn't all that often and you could basically choose not to fly for the comm who was boot happy without to much trouble. The need for hiders, booting policies, and fairly common yelling after a boot indicate there are issues. It was instituted not for teaching I am quite sure but rather I'd surmise for griefing. Now a boot can end your night of playing Allegiance many times unless you are patient.

So cut one of the more dedicated players a little slack ( I mean Raum of course ) The point has merit even if you disagree there needs to be a change.

You know that I was speaking generally. Clearly everyone doesn't hate everyone, however, most people hate many people and are quite vocal about it, and that is an very large issue.

I've also shared many beers with at least half a dozen of the people here, spend hundred of hours chatting with hundreds of other players, however just because someone does similar doesn't mean they don't also contribute to the acrimony.

Some of the nicest people (to some people) in history needed to be shot. Many dictators and murderers have had friends and family that I'm sure they've treated really nice, it's the lowest common denominator of their interactions with people that makes them who they are. I'm sure many evil people they've murdered thousands of innocents loved their mothers and were always there for their friends.

So which one of us are you comparing to Hitler? Do tell

For the month of March there were 69 boots recorded.
That is less than 3 per day.
From viewing the report there was nothing that jumped out at me as looking malicious.

Well, averaging it out makes NO sense,Paps. Eliminate everything but Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Then break those 69 into who did the booting and we might get a clearer picture.
This isn't like 2006 when there were games going on 7 days a week.
