I'd like to hope that genocide isn't a solution to pretty much any problem, I thought we could take that as a baseline but apparently not.

Anyway, it'd be much better if nobody was shooting anyone else. I think we can agree on that too.

Israel have tried taking a hard line with Hamas in Gaza and it clearly doesn't work because Hamas are still firing rockets into Israel. Negotiation is the way forward, see Northern Ireland for proof that it can work, and frankly I see the Israeli government as being more persuadable to stop hostilities and open negotiations than I do Hamas.

If Israel want to be the good guys then they need to stop retaliating and start a process that will help remove Hamas from power, improve life in Gaza and on the border and hopefully start to stabilise the whole region.

At the moment it's just a semi-genocidal waiting game until Iran nukes Jerusalem followed by Israel nuking Tehran.

Try this on for size k10. You should try to change your perspective, at least to find out what it looks like from the outside.

Israeli military does an incursion into Gaza, and shoots a 13 year old boy. The military wing of Hamas reacts and attacks a border patrol. Israel responds by aerial bombardment and gets response with homemade rockets. Egypt brokers a cease fire... which seems to be taking hold, but then the airforce blows up the car of the Hamas leader, with his kid and bodyguard in the car, rocket attacks return and Bibi starts talking about sending in ground troops like in Cast Lead.

Do you guys really think this is something that just happened. The Israeli government is manufacturing yet another "rocket crisis" for internal political use. To get an advantage in the elections Bibi seems quite willing to pay the cost in some Israeli and a lot of Palestinian blood. Enjoy your mockery of a democracy k10. Disgusting.

Try not evading and addressing some of the things in the above. You seem to be glorifying in the power of the IDF and and their ability to keep crushing the Palestinians. Does it matter at all to you that all this bull@#(! is essential to keeping the right wing goons in power, and they don't care how many die to keep it so?

Also dehumanising the arabs is a disaster on the Israeli psyche. You guys are hurting yourselves when you hurt them.

Walked in the wife just starting up one of them, and in the 3 minutes I stood there trying to persuade her towards the bedroom I watched the girl suckin' face on one guy, then he walks away, and another guy shows up 30 seconds later, and she starts kissin' up on HIM and doing a bunch of crying combined with dumb thing saying. So I gave up on any chance of rational sex, and went downstairs to see what the interwebz were up to.

And sadly, it was more of the same.

It's funny to have some nerds talking about killing all the people as a solution while they won't be able to cope with someone bleeding next to them or keep calm when a gun shot next to them. The thing is this is real life and it is not like the brainless shooting game you keep playing, these are REAL people like you dying, they have their REAL lives and REAL families etc. Just try to imagine that these rockets or bombs are directed at you, how would you feel?

I don't $#@!ing care who is right or not, killing people was never a solution and never will be.

CronoDroid wrote:QUOTE (CronoDroid @ Nov 16 2012, 04:46 AM) This is nonsensical. It's like saying how can there be a famine problem in North Korea when they can afford one of the world's largest militaries. Have you considered that maybe smuggling rockets and weapons has nothing to do with obtaining food or medicine?
This is 100% and exactly the same problem.. a country which has enough economy to afford the necessary but does focus military instead of food.
I might sound sarcastic but this is a simple question of priorities and priorities of hamas, of king jong il, and of certain warlords in africa are very deadly for their people.

This might be moot, but all this drama is for a bunch of sand. The Israelis could easily relocate to Alaska, which has the population of Wyoming in a land the size of the half the continental US.

Yeah, it's cold there for 10-12 months a year, but at least rockets aren't being fired at you.

More deaths because people want land due to religious connections. It's just a bunch of $#@!ing sand, people. There are other places persecuted religious groups can live besides a place where everyone hates them.
