No they doesn't.

There may be some Conservatives with UKIP leanings, but UKIP have no MP's. They do represent us in Europe, however (where a form of PR is used).

There is a problem with voting though when so many groups aren't recognised on a national level though there is a demand.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Kingdo...n,_2010#Results

265,000 votes for Green Party they get 1 seat
919,471 votes for UKIP they get 0 seats

I know that personally I don't want to see the BNP in power but if 550,000 people voted for them that should hold some sway and be a valid indication of how much of the population feel on some issues, yes with PR BNP might have received more votes (or less votes no-one can accurately tell) but if we start picking and choosing on voting methods because we don't want certain parties to have any power then we are living in a grim world indeed.

That being said the 99% of the population could pass a bill to exile all BNP members and that solves the problem with delicious irony.

The state of Alaska is the most Libertarian place on the planet
and it functions quite well

in fact it functions so well that you get paid dividends of oil stocks annually as a resident
and you can hunt/fish all your own food

and everyone walks around with guns all day long
There's a new sheriff in town.

The state of Alaska is one of the lowest producers in the US and something like over 80% of it's economy is just from oil and natural gas. Most of the population of Alaska are pretty much service industry to make life comfortable for the few people working for the energy companies apart from the fishermen.

People in Alaska are paid to be there to provide an atmosphere for the few people working in industry, they are glamorised prostitutes.

I'm talking about libertarian-ism and how it affects quality of life.
I've actually been to Alaska, I have family that live in Alaska, family that visits Alaska frequently, friends that go there, because they love it.
The short time I actually spent in Alaska was one of the best times in my life.
And I'm from Washington which is one of the worst police states in the union, I hated living there.

(what I wouldn't like about is Alaska is the months of darkness. that is depressing)

The oil windfall tax is exactly the opposite of a Libertarian policy.

I didn't say there aren't non-libertarian aspects of the state, nothing's ever perfect.
But maybe I don't know what I'm talking about.

Really I just want to bring an example of a very much armed society
and how there's not blood running in the streets like Adept believes there is in this "American Fantasy"

but I don't know why I bother trying to convince Adept of anything
if you ever bring up an idea he doesn't like he starts crying OMG WTF SHOW ME STATISTICS
and then if you do he ignores you
