I know. It's kind of a chicken or egg issue. We could try and see if being at the front page encourages more activity.

Besides, Forum feeds are activated only for News.

I'm pretty happy now with the homepage itself, but I think the slideshow is very lacking. It needs to be much more compelling. Here is a slideshow I had thrown together for one of my concepts.

Actually I think there also should be a little more contrast in the Allegiance logo up top. Maybe give it a little shadow or something?

Thanks. I've taken note of several suggestions, although I think I won't be able to add them until later.

The function and styles to fetch content from the wiki (and cache it) are in place now:

The look of the fetched content is still somewhat rough. I have to improve that.

Zip with the current files. It will take me a while to get back at it to do any big change.

I've thrown in a bunch of extra screenshots for the slideshow or whatever.

Oh, a note. If the PHP server is running the php_domxml extension it will conflict with the PHP 5 feed load function. php_domxml must be commented out in php.ini.

Also try not to twist the nipples on the DFTS host, because it will start screwing all the little GHT 5.003x's and you try sorting them back into their brackets after a buggery in the normal.dot like that!
