P1 its a moot point anyway, thats too much prereqs for a tech, it won't get used enough to warrant its existance

No, I'm commenting on how stupid Icky's insistance that an exp team who also splashes sup is clearly uberly wealthy and CLEARLY has already won, despite the fact that a) all exp teams multitech (pretty much), and b) 10k isn't a super large sum of money.

P1, I know you are a master and all, but please clarify for me how "If you let them double tech, tough" means that I am implying the game is over.
The original context was regarding an exp team buying a sup and stealing boost3. My point stands: if you buy them boost3, and they buy a sup, well then tough @#(! and don't cry about it when you fight boost3 hvy ints. The boost isn't the problem in that scenario.
But thanks for yet again derailing an otherwise productive thread in order to nitpick perceived issues in someone else's argument over details that are in no $#@!ing way relevant to the topic at hand in order to grow your own epeen! You are remarkable in your consistency!

It's really not even needed, and encourages what you shouldn't even be doing in fighters; dog fighting ints instead of killing their cons miners and bases.
If not removal, it should have less burn time. What is it now? 10 seconds? 4-5 seconds would probably be better.
I don't understand why fighters should be given equipment to make themselves better in nearly every aspect as a heavy int. Interceptors are supposed to be the ONE thing that fighters suck against.
They're supposed to be flexible long range group objective ships, not boost around and whore everything in sight ships.

Yup HvyBooster is not the issue here. The fig size reduction that was introduced a while back weights much heavier as it effects Sup in every phase. By the time you can afford HvyBooster you actually deserve to buy some tech to compete with Exp.
Of course it also makes a nice tool for miner offense - mainly because it allows you to react quickly if you spot an undefended miner.. But again it only adds to the effect of the reduced size which makes it so hard to hit some these AdvFig models.

I disagree Grav, if hvy boost was removed Exp would win a lot more. I've always said that the int's main advantage is to out accelerate any other ship, with hvy boost it looses that advantage. When the sup team gets hvy boost, you can no longer htt either stealth or forcecap, you can no longer push conns or shove bombers down their throat, you can't really do any form of end game tech because the accell advantage allows the figs to escape the ints and destroy their target without even engaging the ints.
Why it's taken this long for pug teams to realize how powerful this tech is is beyond me. Whatever, I actually agree with the majority for once and I think it should be removed, it's probably the most unbalanced piece of tech in the entire core.

It was an atempt by noir to make figs more popular / easy to fly, more specifically to make them fly like ints.
The soociety for requiring skill to fly figs never liked people trying to fly figs like ints, and doesn't like attempts to change them to let people fly them like that.

Where do I sign up for this society?
As for the scale suggestions and such, I'd support reducing the IC fig significantly, and upping at least the bios fig scale a bit.
But, and this is a big but.
One change at a time. It's the basic empirical science principle. Isolate changes (experiments) so you can gauge their effect.
Scrap heavy booster, see what effect it has, then move to the next change as needed.

we arent going to do more than one thing at a time to sup. however im not sure why hvy boost came up when the biggest change cc did to figs was reduce their size. Besides it's not adv sup that is the biggest problem, its enh sup's ability to hold off equal level exp
