Who needs 3D to be awesome? Some of the best games are 2D!

Tetris
Mario
Nobunaga's Ambition
Super Robot Wars
Go
The Knight's Tour (I guess it's not technically a game, but I think of it as one)

And the list goes on... I could even go more old-school and bring up the Midway classics

Well... it is a certain aspect of commanding. You could actually beat some of the "good" AZ commanders in smaller games because they really excelled at that one aspect and not really any other. When it was 15vs15 or so, they could herd the sheep like no lesser comm would be able to (reputation and a lot of booting helped for sure). If you are more laid back/lazy/incapable of figuring out what you DON'T need to pay attention to, then your performance will be inferior to a commander who is better than you at these tasks, even if you have other strengths.

Then you'd love to play Alleg these days.

It's not like I didn't put in a good effort on those large cluster$#@! games. I probably won more of them than the smaller ones based on my recollection of some of those ZGs and AWs. Regardless, they were annoying simply because they largely took Exp off the table, and half the reason I ever commanded was to get Hvy Ints quickly and whore bads.

I also prefer flying in large games so I can drop TP2 and whore noobies. 5v5 Alleg is not like 5v5 Dota, lemme tell you. Drizzo and I play it heaps nowadays. And it's a top down strategy game, not sure what 3D has to do with anything.

yo if you aren't using team work in dota you're doing something wrong noob
