because we could sure use something like what XP just made to use as one ...

Well, i would classify XP's SY as a Rixian Shipyard, with a few glitches it would fit like a glove.

Just two gate images i came up with /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />
Gate 1
and just for the sake of it....
Gate 2
The red part in the second image being the Wormhole or whatever you want to call it
I couldn't stop myself from doing the second one as soon as i saw the word "Gate" /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />
if i end up making any more ill edit this post, unless someone finally tells me we already have a gate model chosen unless we are just doing a open wormhole or whatever we are calling it with no "gate" ...
Just got the idea of the wormhole being contained so i got this....
Gate 3
Added Ramp to be able to enter it
But i also thought it would be a bad idea to think that when you entered it you go through a wall at the end so there is an open hole at the end

Erm, your gate one and two links seem to be busted.

I'm thinking its between Gate 2 and 3.
And to me Gate 3 seems like it will be more practical for flying aircraft.

I'm afraid of 2 eating me. I'm NOT driving my super-expensive battlemech through anything with teeth.
I like 3 a lot; especially the first picture of it, where it looks like there's only 1 'arm' thingy holding it up. Looks more...foreign, or something.
EDIT: 3 also, as Cadillac said, looks more practical for aircraft.

On that Subject of "alien" are we going to have some sort of random ruins on the maps? if so, i can quickly do some random objects like staircases or pillers but"alien" like
