this thing also isn't working very well for me. I've trained it with the basic thing, War of the Worlds, and Aseop's Fables. Yet it is still doing things such as 'On my way' being recognized as 'Bomber waiting for turrets' and 'Watch your fire' being 'our base is under attack, request assistance' or 'Oops, wrong voice chat' coming up as 'It's late, gotta go, night yall'

'Heh heh heh' worked. As did, oddly enough, Yeeehaw

I think part of the problem I was having is me and part may be the software. Just for fun, I turned on the dictation utility and began speaking. Wow was the voice recog. bad! - even after 4 training sessions. I was speaking english, but the stuff being typed was like a retarded second-grader (no offense to those second-graders out there - especially you retards). So probably I've been in Alababma too long and speak like an extra from Deliverance. However, I also think the MS voice recog stuff may be sort of wonky.
if you install the Office 2003 version, it works fine after you do 1 or 2 trainning /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> I use speech reconization to type things while busy doing something else with my hand (highlighting etc.) And I have a strong chinese accent in my English.

Hi Fishbone,

If you could, try taking a command that always fails for you, and edit the grammer so that it better reflects the way you say the words. IE,

"I need turret gunners now"

might become

"Ay noied torrut gonners naow"

It all depends where you stress the vowels.

How ever, the phrase "You sure got a pretty mouth" is DEFINITELY NOT RECOGNIZED, no matter how you say it. /doh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="doh.gif" />

What I am thinking is mapping the voice to the side/read/top/bottom thrusters, so that it is easier to use them, along with perhaps boost.

Hi Andon,

Yes, that should work then. You should see the thrust kick on for a millisecond, and then back off, for each command you speak. The keypress I send to the buffer has almost 0 key down time right now. You might not even see the thrust at all, similar to the way you don't see the chat menus popping up for the voice chats.

for me when i give it a command it just puts the VC chat command in the chat line. Seems it isn't getting the ~ it needs
There is no need to fear me

Byte, did you remap the voice chat key to some other key perhaps?

I remapped to WASD and it didn't do anything thrust wise. guess it just isn't long enough to do anything.

Mind giving me a primer on how to edit the grammar?
