Possibile scenarios:

(least likely)
Pook handles CSS/HTML really bad.
Pook's CSS/HTML editor sucks really bad.
Opera renders CSS/HTML really bad.
<put other absurd reasons here>
MySpace handles CSS/HTML really bad.
<put other good reasons here>
Pook removed all references to Allegiance after his decision to leave us (/doh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":doh:" border="0" alt="doh.gif" />)
That pook is not our Pook.
(most likely)

But BV not answering to that post is a clear enough answer.

Anyway, I do admit I've made a lot of RFE's but touched not a line of code. Well, while I refused to partly becase I just not wanted to mess up with it and partly because of lack of skill, I still think activating my brain and trying to figure out ways of improving Allegiance - of pushing it beyond the level it has now reached - is enough of a contribution to the cause for me.

Still, if I was the cause of your departure, ever in the slightest part of it, then sorry man. I never ever ever meant to do that.

And, if I am gaffing in any way, or missing respect, or anything, just mod me down.

EDIT: Changed a 'your' to 'my'

I remeber my frist time hearing from Pook it was in the form of a 2 week ban for impersonating an admin using the name Pook_Pook. I did not know it was the name of an admin at the time and explained myself and manged to get it reduced to 2 days.
I liked Pook, i didnt know him well and i myself have left allegiance many times due to the ass hat nature of people, but in the end i have alwas returned and each time the comunity seems to be slightly more mature or maby its my personal veiw and takeing all insults as a joke.
But i have alwas frouned upon how there was not a better way to help new players learn the game.

The thing that hurts alleg the most is people not starting games at a decent speed 5min or so, the newbies get frusturated all the time, this is the reason all 3 of of my good friends do not play this game. So many people are turned away not so mutch by how you treat the newbies that seem to be fine with the exeption that no one has a PM conversation with them explaing how things work. But the reason why people leave is the constant getting riled up and postponeing the game from starring because somone cheated or somone is being a ass they sit in command and yell in all chat.
Beyond the clock tower.

I didn't mean to stir up the pot that badly with my rambling therre but I was very frustrated coming back and seeing the way things were.

I've decided, as we ALL should decide, to handle things in the way that the Senate and @Alleg set forth.

I am an @Alleg myself but that doesn't mean that I'm not succeptible to the same rules... does that make sense I hope?

Point is that BV has a great feel for the community and will do what he can, and more importantly, he will do what is necessary to ensure the game's survival.

I stand behind him as I stood behind Pook, though we may have our disagreements (Pook and I certainly had our fair share) Ultimately I will abide by, and enforce the rules.

Pook, I am glad to call you friend and I hope that BV, you understand that I have always called you friend and will continue to do so.

BV, TE ... my hats off to you guys. Particularlly TE for his tireless efforts in the Helpline.

Pook is the big reason I am still here. I was ... upset ... by some of my early bans and swore off Alleg. Pook made feel like I was a part of the community (even if it was as a noob) and that there were good people out there. I also came back because Alleg is a great game.

There are a lot of key people who make Alleg run ... TE, BV, Thalgor, Dogbones (and the Dev crew), @Cadet...
Longer term I believe we need to spread the 'love' (read work) as much as possible.

I think we have a problem ... what that problem is I can't exactly put my finger on, but some of the symptons are:
the community isn't growing
what people we do recruit/stumble on to us... leave
we rely on 10-15 people to keep this beast afloat and they work HARD

All that said ... if push comes to shove and I can help just let me know.

I look forward to the day that the new build is released, the NAT issues are all resolved and I can flood this community with 4000 newbies...

Well maybe not 4000 but that's the dream, so many people that you have multiple choices for which game to join...

aaaaah memories....

We're almost at that point now, we just need to persuade people to start a new game instead of sitting in Noat...
