You should at least be recruiting for PK *sigh*.

Thanks for the compliment. It would be cool to be a part of RT. I don't think I have what it takes just yet, but I will keep playing and keep learning until I do have what it takes. AND A BIG SHOUT OUT TO GRAV AND CADDI!

Clearly you wanted Sight for SPQR. I didn't realize your squad was blind

Warning: The following post may or may not be too long.
Where to start?... My story like all stories begin with Battlestar Galactica. So I had just finished watching all the seasons and thought to myself that it would be so cool if there was a game with spaceships and such. But I thought it would be too difficult to make such a game and called myself an idiot and then ran to the corner and wept. After I had said sorry to myself I thought I could check on what you call, "the internet" for such a game, so I sat down in front of the computer and turned it on.
After a couple of hours of porn I found a blog which listed all free mmo's available and in it I saw 'Allegiance: Space combat... something'. I thought,
wow, that could be cool and clicked and downloaded and started playing it. I began with the tutorials first and then moved on to the online matches. Needless to say I pwnd... did i say pwn, I meant I was pwnd. So I thought,
$#@! it, and gave up.
After a few months I felt guilty for not trying hard enough and decided to start again (no it was not because I had no other games to play and was bored out of my skull.. crap did I type that out loud). Anyway I started it up again a few weeks ago and I had a good game or two. Yes, I was useless and had more ejects than points, but that is not my point.
My point is that I fell in love with the game and I decided to stop being useless and do something about it, so long story short I have joined the 'Cadet-A' program and hope that in time I can be a valuable part to any team and you'll accept me into your family like a brother... *sob* maybe I should stop now before I really start crying. But srsly, this is an awesome game and... umm... well... thats all I had to say actually.
Cheers,
Deadfoot
P.S. This took me a few days to come up with, so hope you like it. Also one more thing... in-game I have a number next to my name, eg Deadfoot(2), I am guessing its my rank but anyway to get rid of it?.

The number in brackets is you rank, yes. It's there for a few reasons; so other pilots know not to expect l33t skillz from you, so your commander knows not to boot you, etc. It'll go away on its own when you get to (5), which should be pretty soon for you - it jumps to there automatically after a handful of games.
Have fun, and welcome to Allegiance.

Welcome Deadfoot & others.
Allegiance is one of those games where the more you put into it, the more you get out. This is the best game on the whole net, and well worth the learning curve.
Welcome aboard

Hello everyone!
I am Sprinky, and I just found this game the other day while looking for a fun space-oriented game to play!
I have applied for Cadet I, and I hope to see you all in-game sometime :]
Background information: I am a full-time student, and I play games whenever I am not studying or hanging out with friends. I usually play Team Fortress 2, but it might have to make some room for Allegiance if this game proves to be as fun as it looks.

Lot's of us play TF 2 as well - though the majority of them pale in skill compared to me and my spying.
Welcome aboard Sprinky!

Thanks spidey!
I am terrible at spy (I have most hours as Demoman and Medic), perhaps we ought to meet up in TF2 sometime so you can teach me some spy tricks/tactics. :]

Welcome sprinky
You may run into a few people here with attitude problems, just ignore them and enjoy the game. It has a tough learning curve...just so you know.
Read the academy and wiki stuff you will find it helpful.
