I think that figs should get some kind of booster specific bonus. Ints should have less fuel and higher speed, fighters should have more fuel with a lower speed. I'm not sure why this isn't ALREADY in place...
Secondly, fighters should have some kind of innate shield bonus, albeit not more than 10-20% max (hull bonus for belt).
I think any kind of big changes like adding specific boosters would be a bad idea.
The main thing that cannot be denied, player skill aside, nearly every sup vs. exp game results in the exp team DOMINATING the fighters in 1v1 combat; and that just makes no sense.
One alternative possibility, ints could have their hull reduced.
