Unique visitors over the past 6 months (both websites).Downloads over the past 6 months.New account creations over the 6 months.Attach rates for new account creations (histogram of number hours of played 3 days, 7 days, one month, and three months after account creation).
Then we can begin to have a productive, data-driven discussion over what metrics are lagging and what we can reasonably do to improve them. Going forward, we use that data to ensure that our initiatives actually are effective.
Once upon a time I mentioned exactly this and got shouted down for not knowing what I was talking about. It's nice to know the tradition of "P1's ideas are rejected until three (months, days, years, hours) later someone else suggests them" is alive and well outside of my work environment
BTW Cashto's a genius, and also I know both a PM and a coder who'd be more than happy to work on this for pay, but you almost soitenly couldn't afford them.
