BTW if you have problems accessing the website yesterday or today, it's because the hosting company have just moved servers so the DNS is being updated.
Hopefully it won't affect anyone, but if you can't access it and want to change you prediction, just post it in this thread.
Thanks
Oh and MrC you're welcome to follow along! I even wrote up a guide to the game (link in first post) if you want to learn about this fine game of rugby union

I think that describin either side as the best team is grossly unfair in that game. Best and most even match up of the tournament so far.

yeah but at a really high price.
we have 2 broken knees (Tiesi & Fernandez Lobbe) and our vets are slowly falling into pieces (Roncero won't play anymore).
i guess the all blacks-puma match will be fun though.

I think you're being grossly unfair yourself, Scotland were the better team in the 2nd half after a fairly even 1st half, maybe you were watching a different game? Better going forwards, good at stopping attacks, just kept losing the ball in the breakdown & just had a silly 2 minutes when Argentina scored their (well-taken) try. Also your two sentances are fairly unrelated, you don't have to have 2 perfectly even teams to have a good match.

Believe it or not, someone in my RL version of this predicted a 21-21 draw for that game!
An exciting weekend ahead, not least Scotland - England. Oh and seeing if Wales implode against Fiji again...
BTW I think we'll be seeing an England-Wales semi-final.

It's all pretty subjective naturally but I think that it could easily have gone either way with neither team clearly dominating, you believe differently. Vive la difference (or whatever that french phrase is). And yes, the two points are not synonymous hence the use of the word "and" as a conjunctive. Saying that, I think you're more likely to get a good match between two even midlling teams than between a top team vs a no-hoper.
i'm looking forward to England Scotland much more now because both sides have plenty to lose which will hopefully rouse England from the slumber of mediocrity that we've seen so far.

Having seen some games now, who do you all think is in with a shout of taking the title?
The All Blacks look good, but maybe not as dominant as they could be.
The Springboks are my pick to retain the title, playing really very well.
From the northern hemisphere England are disappointing so far but tend to improve in the knockout stages and Ireland are doing sterling work and it'd be lovely to see them win, but I'm not sure that they can take on the two front runners. Not seen enough of Wales to have an opinion and France are so unpredictable that it's pointless trying.

Haven't changed, still sticking with the Springboks but it looks like they will be facing the All Blacks in the final.
