2 seconds isnt much of a difference. besides, its one of the only nerfs gt actually has, almost everything else has 1.0 or higher (not to mention 10k pali)

also getting a pali out isnt very hard unless you buy 18 ops first :P

yeah, so is defending it and using it to push as an ungalvable base. I put up a thread a while ago asking for any of our modelers to fix it but they would rather go about making a bunch of random crap that nobody wants anyway. the alternative is use the r station model for it but for some reason nobody wanted to do that.

because dreg, just like tf, needs new models that are probably not even going to be balanced properly!

The econ nerf should stay I think, its worked out beautifully balance wise.
Regarding the mass boost, after a point there'd be diminishing returns. We should test it and see how much of a difference is. There are other ways to improve a HTT, if need be.

On the second point... well, if you keep the econ nerfed, you encourage it to be played more like a bog-standard faction. If you nerf the stats and improve the econ, then you encourage and enable the extra tech to win the game. You can balance it either way... it's more of a question of what's more in line with the faction concept, and that's the latter.

But yeah it's a time consuming, iterative process and wouldn't be too high on the priority list.

Nothing quite like telling a 0 to dock (at a GT garr) and get a different ship, then watching him bounce off the green door for about three minutes

I've yet to fly a game as GT and not get stuck in one of my own base models at least once.

Just get to work on a new GT base model Virulence. Complaining about what others choose to work on is somewhat in poor taste. Free lunch and all that.
