Ramkilling miners with Belters scouts/SFs.
AFS Video Project
Added a list of current scripts under revision to the first page.
Also, new script - open-air proxing against bomb runs.

Please read and edit. It isn't finished yet. I'd appreciate if someone who knows how to do this better than I do fill out the script.

On a request from some AFS students, I did a short film on how to drop prox at an aleph. I narrated it myself and I will upload it as soon as it finishes compressing.
Any suggestions for the pre-youtube compression codec? I was going to do H.264, but it estimates compression time at 3 hours for a 1 minute video.

Sadly we can't see enemy pilots boosting through the aleph.LANS wrote:QUOTE (LANS @ Oct 3 2010, 05:02 PM) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zo_-Yis8oCw
Proxing an aleph.
I have a johnson photo in my profile since 2010.
If you were to repeat the aleph proxing video (with enemy ints/figs coming through) may I suggest:
Switch to f3 (and zoom in) after you drop the first mines, that would show the mines cloud really nicely and make your point about dropping while back trusting even more clear. You can show a bad (too close) drop for comparison purpose too.
Also (unless you think that’ll be adding too much complexity) you might want to show how to keep an eye on the mine field degeneration and drop only when the field is almost out, instead of just dropping one after the other, therefore lengthening the time a single scout can keep the aleph mined.
Oh, and talk a little slower
For the other videos, those with a lot more action, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to have part of it slowed down (if you know how to do that of course). I saw a training video on youtube, which now I can’t find for the life of mine, that used this technique: describe what’s going on in slow motion, rewind, replay at normal speed without narration. Quite effective.
Thanks for working on this btw, good stuff
