TE gave is mumble.alleg.net, so it's the "official" mumble server, but we also have ts.alleg.net, so both are "official" it's just a preference as to which one more people use.

As far as where to send newbies .. . .I can't advocate TS2. There is no overlay (or you have to install a third party one) and mumble has one built in. Unless someone wants to host a TS3 server dedicated, I have to say that Mumble is it.

Why do you all compare TS2 !!! with mumble?
TS3 is out and much better :)
TS2 is a couple years old.

Because we have a TS2 server by Aarm and a Mumble server by Sai. We don't have a TS3 server (there was one by Sai but it failed, see previous posts.)

I have both TS2 and Mumble, and it looks like both servers are down. Or at least the addresses given don't seem to work. Have they changed at all?

Looks like there is an issue with the mumble server right now.:( Hopefully we can get it back up fairly soon.

Oh, alright, I'll keep an eye out for it on the Server list.

It's still based in the United States right?
