To prove you wrong:

Just yesterday Sheff (one of the "whores" noted here) grabbed a scout to go scouting. Dreg vs $#@! if i know. I was kind of there but left. Maybe GT? And then today, when a miner came under attack, here comes sheff leaving base... in his trademark interceptor! You know, the one that mounts nan, doesn't have a booster, can ripcord, drop prox, and probes?

The best players, and the best whores, are in the game to win. Watch any of them play and you'll see that they are doing their best to win the game in front of them, doing what they think needs to be done. They get these high kill levels because they're boosting out to a defended miner, podding all the nans and ints on D, killing the miner, and then boosting home with their KB. Or they're gunning down people attacking miners one after another.

I remember when I was in @Cadet, I pumped out a 48 KB and 70+ kills just by defending a miner with Noir. He had me on a private TS channel and he explained everything about miners. I didn't believe you could get kills by watching one miner for an 1 1/2 hours.

Sitting on the server with a new computer and a T1 connection is what it takes to get in the zone. :hide:

I was wondering who the first idiot would be to suggest that comp/connection has nothing to do with performance.

Didn't say it has nothing to do with it. But if you're calling that "the most salient truth" you are obviously taking the victim's roll.

"I can't ever be as good as the best because their computers and pings are so much better."

That's what you're saying right?

EDIT: So if you were to get a computer capabale of running Alleg at full speed(Pentium 2?) and a connection that doesnt suck what then would your excuse be for not playing well. "Oh I don't have enough time to put into the game like all you do."

They're all excuses.

Typical @BS. Consistently the largest collection of mediocre-to-poor players (SF hasn't been around that long).
I mean it's fine if you suck, just don't draw any attention to yourself and then you won't get $#@!ed with.

Umm. No. I am advocating for those who have poor connections and older machines.
My connection, machine and gameplay are all just fine. Thank you for misunderstanding.
