Meh, you guys all whine too much. Play the $#@!ing game.

I command when I get on, new born baby and @#(! like that keeps me away atm but all I see on these forums are the wannabe commanders complaining about how badly they command.

*shrug*
I decided to relive the days gone by in my new blog.

"I can't win so there's no sense in trying."

That's bull@#(!. If people acted like that, the Patriots wouldn't be 18-1.
I really can't understand how can you understand that from my post. I'll say it more clearly:

-When you win some games against average commanders you'll get rid of the stack you get against better commanders. So you better learn something about comming before facing spidey for the first time instead of making people lose time by not buying tech in 30 minutes.

Now that i see i can't say it with better words let's see if you finally understand it.

guitarism wrote:QUOTE (guitarism @ Jan 26 2010, 06:56 PM) Now stop WHINING and telling PEOPLE THEY ARE ALLOWED TO SUCK
When and where the hell did i say something like that?? I'm the first to boot suckers when they screw it badly.

Now would you all please read what i say before stating stupid stuff?? That only makes me think you're stupid/blind or something....

Commanders who are actively learning should face off against the best, and have someone else who's really good back seat them. That way they can learn first-hand what to do, and the vet backseating can make sure it's still an enjoyable game.

I see no problem in facing against better comms, you can lose to somebody else too. Just try to learn from your loses. If you can either see your mistakes or see how they counter your strategy then you can use it for your own later. Just watch the game carefully see what better comms do in various conditions.

OMG you guys just CAN'T read.

WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH WHAT I SAID AND HOW IN ANY WAY DOES THAT CONTRADICT WHAT I SAID?

I said that YOU CAN GET RID OF THE STACK you get against vet comms by winning games AGAINST COMMS OF YOUR LEVEL.

Anyway:

What are the CHANCES that you get GOOD BACKSEATERS if you get STACKED AGAINST on the game.

Also:

YES, HALF MY ACS GAMES HAVE BEEN AGAINST GRAV, SPIDEY, VIRU, OMB AND COMMS OF THAT LEVEL, STOP LECTURING ME ABOUT THAT.

YES, YOU CAN ONLY IMPROVE IF YOU FIGHT BETTER PEOPLE.

YES, YOU SHOULD FACE BETTER PEOPLE.

YES, YOU CAN GET RID OF STACK BEFORE FACING BETTER PEOPLE AND MAKE GAMES BETTER WITHOUT THE NEED OF BACKSEATING.

Now read for once what i'm $#@!ing saying damn it....that's why i barely post...

I'm starting to think i can't speak english ffs.....

Rational discussion on a message board?? Good luck with that :)

it's like having a conversation through graffiti on a wall.

People will see what they want to support their point and ignore anything else that doesn't fit their *view*. It's why message boards are attractors of flame wars.

Spidey summed it up best, personally I am trying to rank up so I *AM* looking to join the *TEAM* that will win but not with a huge AS delta between the teams(which means playing for the newer comm most of the time)

the most important skill any player can learn in Allegiance is to communicate (players and comms), communication = teamworks = win

guitarism wrote:QUOTE (guitarism @ Jan 26 2010, 10:44 AM) My question remains - WHY would ANY commander want to command given the fact that we seem to be ENCOURAGING players to SUCK
Serious question: how is this happening? I mean what is the cause as you see it that is encouraging players to *not* follow the comms direction?

I don't understand where this statement is coming from?

Koln, I'll give you the scenario that originally got me into commanding. 3am EST, I'm wide awake with insomnia, I want to play, there's twenty players on Alleg. However, we don't have comms, because only one of the people there wants to comm, and he's maybe an intermediate or a novice, so you step up and get in there and maybe have a couple of noob com games. So now you're starting to get the hang of the basics of comming and you kind of like it. Now the next night, it's the same situation, except goddamn Cable or Fufi or Terran has GC, and even if anyone else might have been in the mood to comm, they're pussies who're too scared to do it, and you can't get the vet to back down and let the possibility of a balanced newbie comm game happen instead, so everybody just sits there on NOAT waiting and staring down the SysXer on yellow.

So you've got two choices: you can sit in the lobby for three hours hoping somehow to outlast that @#(!-pack of NOAT-sitters, or you can bite the bullet, take the helm of the other team, and learn as much as you can from some SysX expert comm and @#$%@# going Bios supyard on you in a small game, or pushing both high and low on Limited (somehow completely uneyed, $#@!ing voob pilots) in a small game, or doing any one of the numerous small-game strategies you've never $#@!ing heard of before and completely shutting your $#@!ing @#(! out. Sure, I'd like to comm a balanced game against someone of my skill level. But you know what? As bad as it is to get all of my mining shut out and all of my cons destroyed while the voobs who can't eye anything or defend anything whine about how I should buy this or that...I still prefer it over sitting in the goddamn lobby all day. If I don't get shut out in the first ten minutes, I always learn something from it.

Jimen I'm so scared you think of those people as SysX Expert Comms
I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday
