Is this a viable way to play a stealth class?

Well between it's two forms it is slow moving, slow turning, close range, low damage, hard to hit with, and guzzles energy.
But on the other hand, it is also fast moving, fast turning, long range, high damage, has homing attacks, and recharges energy faster than it spends it.
You just have to use the right form at the right moment, and you have on your hands something that can deal with any situation. It can even take down the big ships if you're really good/lucky (Except the Chmmr, you only have a chance against the Chmmr once it's satellites are dead. That applies to a lot of ships though)
Melee mode is awesome.

Aw, but Chmmr vs. Pkunk is always fun.
Yes, the Cruiser is surprisingly awesome... but only if you're lucky, and don't end up entering battle right next to a bigger enemy.
"Being able to stay far away" isn't always easy with those engines...
But if you *can* keep your distance, it can take on dreadnoughts easy.
Hmm... tournament might be fun... just need to re-read the Ultronomicon about how to set up multiplayer games... >_<
