They're in a .zip file, so unzip them with WinZip or similar program. The icons are found in their respective folders. I also toned down the brightness a bit so they match the default cross icon for intensity and aren't so distracting. Still easy to pick out from the other junk after a fight though.

Well I do want them to also look like the gren fuel canister and the red ammo clip. But when we have the two icon slots for this, I'm sure somebody will whip up a pure black & white version as well as a blue & yellow one.

Isn't it amazing how much we use red & green for important stuff, even tough those are the ones with the most common colour blindness? Amazing.

Yet another multi page thread about something which takes up 2kb, is not an emergency and eventually is to allow people the choice of how they want it to look.

FFS just do what Madp says !
Make the change in the next core update and let the community come up with icons.

What's the big deal, Spin? It's a nice addition and people leave their opinions. What's so unbelievable with it?

it's that people are debating what colour to paint the wings, and not whether to attach the wings to the plane or not.

people seem to expect that we need to decide what colour the wings should be before they are attached to the plane.

you can attach the wings, and paint them later.

that, and that it is a rediciously simple change (which opens up a whole load of possibility of enhancement) that it shouldn't need any debate, let alone three pages of it.

(not a perfect anology since it doesn't take into accoutnt that you can attach the wings now with no change to the way the plane looks)

I thought it was quite obvious that this change would be great to implement, no?

The only reason this thread is still going is because the change hasn't happened yet. If/when it does the various colour/icon threads will open up in Artwork.

I bumped this thread with those icons because i didn't want to just post "bump"; i agree completely with madp

bump, this probably should have been in 04, but I guess they forgot about it.

I say put it on the list for 05 unless anyone has a real reason not to (and no, there isn't one)
