Amazingly enough though TE booked it he magically disappeared to the end of our group as we approached the hostess. I, not looking to get friendly with the hostess, didn't care so simply said "reservation for ah allegiance". She told me one of our party was there already so I said with a slightly raised voice "Xason" hoping I didn't have to go through the bar and ask each person if they were with "Allegiance" or their name was "Xason". Thankfully Xason popped his head out and came over.

It was a great time guys. Next time I'm in Toronto I'll check with all of ya's again.

Btw, Paps looks like his avatar, not his sig.

Doesn't anyone's corporate functions ever book under a company name? They just figured you were some business function probaby.

Wish I could have made it. It sounds like a great time. Yep, meeting people for the first time is a trip. I know I shocked Anguriel :-}. I can remember picking up "Old_GB/Lecef" awhile back at the airport and going to see Romeo, Lord Fraybin and javaswiller. Same thing. I picture BV as this giant cuddly biker dude with a Santa Claus beard.

Rofl, I can see that...

Whose nickname would be the most embarassing to shout out, in a public place?

Using the name VDF4212 gave us some weird looks at a GB meeting.

Sounds like fun. How much did the beer cost? CAN$35 a pint?

I was the newest allegiance player there and was very surprised the Toronto SL hadn't met before. Everyone except me has been playing for at least 5 or 6 years, right? I saw Paps and thought it might have been BV. He must have taken one look at all of us and thought, "they have to be the Allegiance guys!"

This was the nerdiest thing I've done. Never been to a group gathering of some online game or anything like it before. But, it was a lot of fun. It's a great group of guys!

The meet was a lot of fun. After all these years of playing with people it was nice to actually meet some of them.

And while I don't know if it was the geekiest thing I've ever done, I'm sure it comes close... I can't believe we sat around and essentially talked about nothing but Allegiance for 4 hours (aside from about a 2 minute diversion into the world of 24 and Heroes -- damn you Aurelius for not having watched the finalies of either...)

All in all it was a very good night; I'm glad I went and I look forward to the next one.
