its fine for me, i never use the throttle, if i'm moving forward its either AP or forward thrust. and if i'm flying a bomber, you can bet its not AP (unless i'm comming and i need to send some cons about / buy stuff)

Except that if you have a booster mounted you will still get the sig penalty for having it fire. (even if it is out of fuel). Really only a problem for belters.

Seems the way the faction sare made, the best settings are right in the middle to realyl get the edges from the resources of the differences between the factions, as well as making it tha tmuch more tactical in commanding them.
On the newbie/beginners servers, generally money is set at some insane amount. Like a few other people have said, on the main DN servers things are generally a bit more under control. However! No one really pointed out that even on the main servers, most games are still set on High money. Medium money games are, in my opinion, more interesting strategically, but the number of commanders willing to play with those settings is far lower than the number of commanders willing to command at all, and that's already pretty low.

There's a settings reference in the Academy here if you haven't found it yet, though there's no discussion of why certain money settings are chosen.

The fact that you already hit on the fact that the economy is central to Alleg strategy, a week into the game, is a really good sign. There are people who have been playing for years that can't figure that one out. Good luck in @Cadet!
