For really overseas connections try this Dutch webpage. Most is self explaining.
http://www.speedtest.nl
Click on "meet uw download snelheid"
Then tick the recuired checkboxes at the next page
And finally click on "start de geselecteerde tests".
Very curious what results you guys get.

LOL that's funny BV, now could you show me a computer that handles 1 giga
byte/second download. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> So at home you only have 500 Megabyte/second ? /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> What are you running at home, a supercomputer? I can think of only 1 network that gives guaranteed 1G
b per second to every single user and that's over here
really fast internet ;-).
You'd be extremely lucky to get 20-50 Mb/second/user on even the fastest inet2 networks (also academic use) so i guess you only mentioned your company's connection to the internet (which we then have to divide by 50.000 employees to get yours right? /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

mine is included in my rent, so you could consider it as being free, as you have to register your pc to activate it, but registration is free
