Welcome, Allegiance is similar to those games except your units swear and insult you.

Or in SysX's case, mutiny and boot you too! And in rare cases some units may even track down where you live and skin your cat.

Hi all, new to the game but not the genre. I actually heard about the game reading a post on the JGE forum. I have read some of the stuff on the wiki and went through the offline "training" missions. I look forward to trying out the game in the next few days on the newb server (if I'm lucky maybe I will be able to catch it on a night where I won't be the only one on the newb server

)

Or just join a game on the main server. You'll learn how the game is played there. Welcome.

We're fine with having newbies on the main server. Sometimes it may be hard to join a game - not because they don't want newbs - but because they are trying to keep the game balanced skill-wise. Just be patient and try to join the team with the highest AS score (the number in the [] next to the team name).

Yes, Allegiance is played in sessions like DotA.

I'm surprised no one else knew what you were talking about. For the uninitiated, DotA is a Warcraft III map. It is actually quite fun, and involves much of the same teamwork skills that Allegiance does.
