With how many guns are on the streets (thanks gun manufacturers) and the laws that exist, your going to have 1 or 2 mass shootings every year. Doesn't matter who's president. Shooters can be far right or far left or just mentally ill and fed up with life. Running up the deficit during non war non recession is a first i believe. It's yet to be seen how this experiment will end up. Hillary was predicted to win the popular vote and she did. She lost the election in the swing states. Right now the swing states economies are booming. Seems like no one talks about the economy. As james carville campain sligan for bill clinton in 1992..."it's the economy stupid"phoenix1 wrote:QUOTE (phoenix1 @ Aug 8 2019, 03:46 AM) "Pick your poison, the guys who don't want to spend all of tomorrow's money yesterday, or the guys inciting mass shootings in Texas wal-marts."

I have to agree with minigun on his point.
Traditionally employed Americans with a good economy don't vote out presidents.
Should the economy tank in the not too distant future then Trump might be in trouble.
As a Canadian with no say in US politics all I can do is sit back and watch the outcome of the next US election.
It will be interesting to see how things play out.

According to Wiki there were already 248 mass shootings this year in the US.minigun wrote:QUOTE (minigun @ Aug 7 2019, 09:16 PM) With how many guns are on the streets (thanks gun manufacturers) and the laws that exist, your going to have 1 or 2 mass shootings every year. Of course that is a matter of definition, but 2 a year... Closer to 2 per day.
I'd be pretty excited at this point for 2 mass shootings per year, but minigun is a die-hard racist who must use any lie he can to support his racist-in-chief.
BTW paps? The economy here sucks for the vast majority of people. Only the upper-middle-class is feeling good about itself.

Depending on the definition used it will very. I wasn't trying to downplay mass shootings, i was pointing out they will continue on. You really need most of the guns off the street. I have no idea where to even start, obama couldn't do it and i don't think trump could do anything even if he wanted to.Grimmwolf_GB wrote:QUOTE (Grimmwolf_GB @ Aug 9 2019, 02:38 AM) According to Wiki there were already 248 mass shootings this year in the US.

I'm not a racist p1. I might not have 100% certainty on the economic data but at least it's data and not just saying something like "hey paps! The economy really sucks"phoenix1 wrote:QUOTE (phoenix1 @ Aug 9 2019, 09:15 AM) I'd be pretty excited at this point for 2 mass shootings per year, but minigun is a die-hard racist who must use any lie he can to support his racist-in-chief.

Most first world economies are carried on the backs of the working middle class so if they are doing well then the economy in general must be in pretty good shape.phoenix1 wrote:QUOTE (phoenix1 @ Aug 8 2019, 07:15 PM) I'd be pretty excited at this point for 2 mass shootings per year, but minigun is a die-hard racist who must use any lie he can to support his racist-in-chief.

If the working middle class is doing well chances are they won't be voting out the guy in charge.
Just my opinion but on a side note, Canadians did the opposite in the last election.
Our economy was in good shape and the voters tossed out our last Prime Minister and voted in a walking vagina,
