Phoenix and Effix don't count as they are no longer used and Dreg, GT and TF are all 5 years old or more
QUOTE And let's not talk about "the 5 minutes I've been here", because newbie retention would be pretty $#@!ing poor without ASGS (coded by a hardcore vet), the work of the devteam to modernize the Alleg code and make it accessible through firewalls, core devs that have ensured fluidly changing gameplay through the years, the squad leaders who keep competition and drama up, and so much more. Don't talk to me about $#@!ing 2002 when you're playing a game which is thriving on nearly a decade worth of work by vets who, by and large, have gotten very little back for it. Maybe you've never noticed that while I'm totally willing to @#(! all over fuzz
despite his work on beta, I have never once shat on him BECAUSE of his work on beta.[/quote]
I do not mean to belittle the accomplishments of the Allegiance community.
How many of these people do you think played since release? And how many were newbies who joined the community after Microsoft dropped support. Off the top of my head I can think of three zone leaders who joined as "newbies" that you don't seem to care about, and went on to become the invaluable members of the community that they are today.
The newbies of today are the vets of tomorrow, there's nothing wrong with new blood replacing the old.
