It's arcade. Put the dot in the circle and hit the mouse button. weeeee
I'm certain it can be made to toggle.
Masta, you mentioned that it is range dependent. How would you prefer it to work?

meh giving it as toggle means everybody would use it.
people who cant aim should just fly scouts or "flex" to ships needed by the situation.

Yeah if you haven't noticed many factions have gunmounts in such a position where the bullets are often partially or fully blocked by the stock reticle. That's part of the reason so many different reticles have been made over the years... almost all of them making the reticle thinner or almost removing it entirely. I personally use TheMan because the size of the dot makes it easier for me to ignore it when I'm shooting at something which lets me watch my bullets instead.
And frankly, Wasp, you're not as good as you think you are. Maybe it's because you have some joystick bug going on. Maybe it's because your lag is bad. Maybe it's because you're rusty. Maybe it's any number of tiny things that affect you and only you and no one else, but your dedicating whoring games hover at just below .5 kpm. There are several int pilots who are better than you actively playing, and I can point at stats to back that up.
Having a remarkably good aim and being a good whore are two separate things.
Honestly Wasp should stop posting here altogether because lead indicators should be removed entirely from the game (or just keep them to carriers like it was before jesus christ)
also ban metz from making cores
and ban p1 too

Core balance should be given to multi dimensional players who happen to be people that command often.

That is what I want.

Toggle IF available, so that IF it is imposed by core settings, you can turn it OFF!

Many areas could be tweaked to improve nooby retention.
Make lead indicator with a toggle. If your a whore and it gets in the way, toggle it off. I think it would help a nooby fly. They can follow the lead indicator and at least give them the perception they are going to kill something. Give em a lead indicator on the nan, until they level up.

My analogy for lead indicator. If you were new and played a game WOT 15 v.s 15. They stripped all the range and indicators out. 29 of the players have been playing for 15 or more years. You get smoked. You try again, 29 other players have been playing 15 or more years. You get smoked again. Next day WOT is deleted from your computer. Maybe not the best analogy, with my brain power it's the best I can do.

We spend so much energy balancing the cores and not the player base. If you get to a gauss gun, make it powerful. You earned it, you protected your miners, you probed, you killed things. Blast the he'll out of the enemy with it. Game over. Sorry no 4 1/2 hour game. Let the nooby have fun with it.
