When the con was about 1/2 way to the aleph me (and perhaps one more too but I don't remember) went through, I was under the impression others would follow, me(we) got podded by the heavy camp. On my way back I said to metz to plant the con because our team was flying circles in the sector. He refused and told us to push. Masta was oob so he didn't notice what our ints were doing.
My fault is that I didn't check f6.

in the end and to resume, he just lost control in the situation and blamed it on the team, wich was the easiest way to end the game looking "good"? sounds like logical and very accurate! hehehe i suppose since not many argued back at him for blaming them they are already used to his methods and "resolutions" and didnt care to say anything and just moved onto the next game

His faults were that he was oob and he had faith in the team to behave like ints are supposed to. Team $#@!ed up the rest.

I had the same experience as Fed. Got podded in the opening furball, boosted back, saw on getting back that we still didn't have a lock on the choke sector. I was a bit surprised by that, but OK, I'll just help mop up what remains, then we can get organized on the aleph and then break the camp, the commander knows what's going on, they'll know to hold the con until we're ready to go.
But from what I've been told, Masta was scouting in the other direction to see if he could claim the other choke with a tele. So I am guessing that he planted the con the moment we had eyes in the next sector and then undocked to go do his thing.
So yeah, commander pretty much AWOL, completely abdicating whatever responsibility they have to organize the team, just letting a group of pick-up players run wild without as much as a field commander to lead rushes, running an inflexible plan that grossly underestimates the enemy, oblivious to how the play is developing, no microing, just plant the con and forget it ... if that's what high level competitive squad play is like then $#@!, I have tons of experience, because that describes every @MEC game ever.

Actually almost my entire team was on Mumble with me.
As usual you have no idea what you're talking about.

Yes, I know. I was on it too. You used it really effectively, I thought, for someone who was out of base in some other sector doing god knows what and having no clue what was going on.

I know what was going on. There were 8 ints with my op con. Then they left it. Then it died.

Hahahah. Nope.
You sent a con into a camped aleph. 8 ints and zero scouts followed right on its heels.
Any commander would have known to hold the con to give the ints time to break the camp. But you didn't know about the camp, you didn't anticipate it, you thought Dome's pilots would just let themselves get podded in the choke and we would fly through unchallenged, so you were not where you needed to be at time to control the con, which was in base.
And you know what? It doesn't bother me that you $#@!ed up, hell, these things happen. What bothers me is that you instinctively blame the team, like you always do, and refuse to take any responsibility whatsoever for your role in that loss.
To you, you're just the awesomest comm ever. You did everything perfect, and the only possible explanation for that result is your team (that you handpicked, btw) is just a bunch of "infants", and so even though you didn't see any of it you know exactly what happened.
You say your job is to "make people the best versions of themselves". Well, clearly, you failed at even that. Man up and own your mistakes.

It's a work in progress. Give me a few days. Maybe a few weeks.
After all, you've hostaged ACS for what...2 years? and turned 0 grads?
I daresay the bar is set pretty low.

Well, the result that comes out of this discussion is that a good commander knows what team needs to do, a great commander can anticipate the failure of his team and correct for it.
