Yeah, that bit improved on a largely 'meh' video that should probably be tagged NSFW.
I like this.

My current phone works and it's 6.5 years old. I have a 10 year rule on this kind of thing... if it ain't broke, don't fix it, unless it's 10 years old, then you can get a new one. Roll on 2016 when I can join in this smartphone stuff. I'm definitely not getting an iPhone though, for reasons others have already covered, like HSharp I am an anti-Apple guy.
Nice video btw.
QUOTE I have a grandfathered iPhone/ phone contract through AT&T, as the primary holder of the plan, I do all my work through 3rd parties because the AT&T store keeps trying to take my plan away from me by "accident"[/quote]
My friend has a sim card which is some 10-11 years old, it's on pay as you go but with 3 or 5 free texts a day. No way is she letting that deal go...

I'm interested in the lumia too, I'd quite like to see some photos taken by it in low light by an independent reviewer though. The photos they say actually were taken by it (as opposed to the ones they faked) looked quite good, but I don't know how much of a lighting setup they were using too.
That said, I wouldn't actually but one, I'm waiting until phones have USB3 connections before I change + I'd probably want an android (unless windows phone is actually a good platform for me to make things on).

Nokia have had access to great phone technology for a long time. My crappy non-smart Nokia from years back has a really good phone already, and the Lumia 920 one is supposedly great. It's actually the reason I want one

iPhone (and the iPad especially) is let down by it's camera.

You hit the nail on the head earlier. Apple and iPhone works because of the software not the hardware. Its the app system and the trendyness that sells the thing.
I mean seriously why spend £600 on an i5 when you can get the One X at near half the price
Comparison or even the S3
comparison.
Both the S3 and One X have been out a decent time already and Apple are only just about to release a phone that just about keeps up with these 2 hardware wise and costs so much more.
P.S. These phones have more power than my current PC, actually my current phone has more power than my PC......

Now the high end models seems to level off in relation to cpu and functionality, the low end phones are rapidly improving.
Here is an example of my latest buy. A low end supermarket in NL sells it's own brand, which is basically a Chinese AT modified for the Dutch market (Dutch menu etc).

This thing retails for 180 euro and was sold out in minutes. Every few months they sell a new batch. Not bad for a dual sim, Android 4.0, 4.3 inch, 1 Gig cpu, 4 gig memory, 8 Megapixels phone. Pre-rooted and unlocked too, no bloatware installed. NIce fast internet over 3G.
I do feel guilty about buying at Aldi, they have a long documented history of exploiting their staff.

"Just about keeps up with the hardware" is a bit of an over statement, too. I mean, seriously, A6?
EDIT:
And the lack of external cards is just a joke.
