In your hypothetical "lategame" where BIOS apparently has to pick up cashboxes
It is reasonable to assume that you have BIOS hvy scouts
and it is also reasonable to assume that there is ONE pilot on the team that knows how to prox decently well, in the interest of keeping miners alive
(and heavy scouts can drop a LOT of prox, coupled with hvy cloak, making them incredibly effective at stopping any number of pilots in any number of ships that might come through an aleph)
If you have heavy scouts
and 1 pilot that can use them
It is also reasonable to assume that you will be able to mine with at least one miner
If you can mine with at least one miner
It is reasonable to assume that you don't need to "pick up cash to keep up normal operations", lategame.

And upping the research cost instead of lowering paydays will accomplish fixing just that,
without the side effects. You did read my posts?
All those arguments about how you "just have to D miners" are pointless rabble because this holds true for every faction in the game. Now BIOS just has to keep their miners alive MORE than other factions and also profit MORE from picking up cash; and this is apparently OK because of cloaking scouts and because sono is in SF and i am masta herp derp.

No, now BIOS has to keep their miners alive just like other factions because before the change they didn't need miners at all.
and try keeping miners alive instead of trying to make it easier to come back from losing all your miners
if you lose all your miners, you should lose
but taking cashboxes into account, it's easy enough to cashbox fund another miner as BIOS, anyway
that is entirely reasonable.
because treasures are on 99% of the time (and cashboxes are treasures)
and if you launch as BIOS with treasures off, then you better just keep a miner alive, or keep enough money in the bank to buy a new one if you lose them all
which is what you're supposed to do anyway
as any faction
If you're at risk of losing all your miners
keep money enough to buy a new one
We're not reinventing the wheel here

I love how you totally agree with me, apparently without noticing it. Good night =)

No, I don't. Paydays do not be increased for BIOS. In fact I'd still like all factions to lose paydays completely.
People get the most practice for squad games, in pickup games.
When XT was undefeated for years, and PK was most likely to take the crown, it was because XT and PK were stacking the @#(! out of their respective XT and PK commanders all week long in PuGs.
When Sysx rose to the top, it was because sysx were stacking Spidey all day long every day in PuGs.
same with RT suddenly becoming competitive for the first time, because RT was stacking Grav constantly
You don't hold squad practices 7 days a week to practice for squad games (in fact the squads that do hold practices the most often are the ones that perform the worst in squad games)
You practice for squad games, in PuGs all week
You are setting yourself up for SG fail to play like @#(! in a PuG
Practice in a PuG how you should perform in a SG
and it starts by learning to keep and kill miners (unless you're RT, in which case it's about turtling until you get sbs)

Someone really is considering removing QF's?
Damn, they are the only thing making dogfighting a heavy int in a fighter worth being podded for.

Funny thing is that guass isn't "dn crap", it was around before dn existed. If Spunk remembers, correct me if I'm wrong, but it was most likely included in A+ when Onion created GT.
Edit: now that I think about it, GT was created even early than that.

Because all voices of reason have all but disappeared from the CC dev team.
Competitive players will play on XC and everyone else will play on CC.

I heard that Adept asked Dasmiter to put gigantic phallic objects on all of the scouts.
He said yes.
