well it depends on the scenario, if you have mini 2 hvy ints and there are two of you you can probably spike that bbr, and judging from the fact that the other int that wasn't shooting at that nan could solo it i'd wager you had at least mini 2.

if you can't aim, then maybe as a temporary measure, while you work on it, you should try ramming the bombers. it helps greatly for a multitude of reasons:

1) nans take some time to readjust to the new location of the bbr giving a small but opportune window for your allies to spike the bbr from under possibly multiple nans.

2) You deny the bbr all of it's momentum, so it takes longer to get in range of your base

3) scouts that were ramming the bbr now have to take an obnoxious amount of time realigning behind the bombers new position, again increasing the amount of time it takes the bbr to get in range

But this is merely a temporary way to maximize usefulness if you find yourself unable to pod any nans by the time bbr's get in base range

Is it possible to aim using mouse? I have hard time killing enemies using keyboard. Also I read somewhere its possible to side step ( move sideways) Still couldn't figure out how to do this.

Absolutely. Num pad 0. If you're using the keyboard to fly, you're doing it wrong.

Also, side thrust keys are by default on the numpad.

All of this can be viewed / changed via ESC > G > C. Many players remap their sidethrust keys to WASD or ESDF for greatest efficiency, but that often involves moving other keys out of the way first.

What everyone said. To reiterate - flying with the keyboard is a massive no-no, mouse or joystick is the way to go.

wow tanx for bunch of useful replies. ( didn't expect that xD )

Atlest, now I know hw to fly using mouse, which is way better than keyboard. Now I have a chance at some combat. I think this will giv me confidence to participate in combat rather than being vets target practice.

ps: I had my 1st kill and 2 assists :)

Another few questions...

1) How to improve my rank? I did few games but still at 0

2) If i join a game ( im newbi[0] atm ) will the other players loose getting xp or rank?

Rank is based on winning and losing games, no other stats matter. If you want the math of how rank is calculated, look here:

http://freeallegiance.org/FAW/index.php/Allegskill

In short, your rank goes up when you win, down when you lose. How much is based on the difference in skill between you and the enemy.

How do you send a private message in the lobby?

Somebody sent me one the other day, and I couldn't figure out how to respond in kind. Nor could I figure out what to search for here in the forums to find this out.

Any other cool lobby tricks that can be shared with the likes of us?
