Alleg has had less than 50 players at a few different times. IE paypal days while people figured it out.
Every release makes some people not be able to play while it allows some to play again.
I see vets comming back weekly and other vets disapear
There is a strong community and it seems some people play play and play then rest for a while. Alleg can and will burn you out. But you always come back:)
This must be a vet posting under a noob forum account talking @#(!.
Any guesses who it may be? Since everyone who posted Alleg is dead had a new forum acount. each one is less than a month or so old
And 2 of your links is broke Juck

Ryj, are you just trolling? Jbansk's been around for a while now, and that is his main account.
I hope that Alleg stay's alive, it's a good game and would be a shame to see it go under.

Considering when I picked up this game again, primetime playerbase was maybe a 10v10 on a lucky and busy night, we have a bit to go before considering it dead.
Alleg has always taken a while to do anything, whether its dev, core dev, security systems or training programs. If it seems certain things are stagnating, they may be for now, but they will continue.
Alleg will take a while for it to die, if it does.

R5 made it possible for me to play again. R4 totally broke the game for me and I was having to use the "beta" client that was hanging around at that time.

When I started playing Allegiance it had thousands of regulars and hundreds playing at the same time, and there were people saying it was dead then.
Spunky used to play selected tracks from his extensive Whitesnake, Europe, REO Speedwagon & Bon Jovi library over Gamevoice to keep people's morale up.
Once we had all figured out how to mute Spunky we took to beating ob1 & ugli up in the chat.
What we need is Spunky to bring his CD collection back, and then we have to track down ob1 & ugli to save Alleg, QED.

He's been around a lot longer than the jbansk account has existed. And I'm fairly sure this isn't his first Allegiance is dead as well.

What's why, after careful carebearish consideration I summed my opinion in that FU opening. Word.

PKK is correct in observing that an Alleg's install just has too many moving parts, and while some installers bundle all of those pre-reqs together into one exe, we make the users DIY. Given that Allegiance's difficulty curve for playing is already high enough, having a high diff curve for installing is just killer.
BAM!
