The last few posts from me were rushed out in my defence. I can't remember what they said exactly but I've never lied, and I'll continue to say the things I've always said. If you can't forgive me for giving a lot of time and effort into SF, wanting to play one game for another (which I decided like 2 mins before the start of the match) and then having SHTF stuff IRL then I don't want that friendship.
Striker wrote:QUOTE (Striker @ Oct 4 2010, 04:41 PM) You mentioned you were frustrated and that you were thinking of stepping down as SL. Then I didn't hear from you for two days after the initial exchange. You posted a cryptic post about "doing something" and that is when all hell broke loose.
Yes, Its called real life. The cryptic message was posted very shortly before I left to play for XT, I was going to be coming back to sort the rest of the lose ends, this is why I changed my callsign and didn't log onto XT as Dorjan. if I wanted to leave, I would've just done it, but I didn't. I was conflicted and stressed.

Striker wrote:QUOTE (Striker @ Oct 4 2010, 04:41 PM) The problem wasn't your life, but how your basically burned just about every friendship in SF. It was the method in how you left that is the issue, not that you went to XT. That single event nearly caused SF to disband and a lot of people are still angry over it.
I burned all my friendships but that wasn't my life? I'm sorry, you think my life wasn't the reason for the actions I took which led to the "burning of friendships." I was lynched out of SF because nosey bastards wanted to uncover the merc flying for XT during the big game, although my name missing from the roster didn't help.

If you want to say that it was all my fault for the way I left, that's fine. I'll take it. I had to step away from alleg, I was asked to fly for XT against SysX so I did. They were unlinked. I see why people may think otherwise but considering my actions for the two years beforehand I'd had thought you'd give me more credit.

After I felt I was lynched I had a breakdown and raged a lot. Decided to join XT with one of my buddies to mess around just before I left alleg for as far as I knew for good.

I came back like a week ago since my life has calmed to as much as normal will be for me. You guys want to be bitter about it still, fine. Burn your bridges with me all you like.

*sighs*

You act like I'm out gunning for you or something. I'm not. I'm simply telling you how the other side felt because I'm the one who had to put the fires out. I understand what happened in real life, but you can't deny how the SF side unfolded. What is done is done and there is no reason to dwell on the past.

Okay, drama time is over everyone.

I don't deny the fact it was @#(!ty, and handled wrong (imo by both sides). I shouldn't said more than "I'll brb" to you, I should've pre-written my resignation and hell, I shouldn't have flown for XT vs SysX in the best game alleg has had in over a year...

Either way, what's done is done and you can harbour whatever resentment you lot want to. I gave a lot to SF and made one big mistake due to being human.

I'm sorry.

I harbor no ill feelings. I've forgiven you because I can't stay angry at people for long. ;)

EDIT:
FYI, what I posted above is not my view, but those felt by a lot of SF members. I was just relaying it.

Striker if you had stopped with "Dorjan, I'd walk away now if I were you. " then Id have thought you handled it well. Leaving a squad ESPECIALLY if you are considered one of the cogs is fraught with potential drama intended or otherwise. If it goes poorly the wound never heals for some of the participants... fair enough it bothers you that much. What ISN'T helpful is to rehash the same @#(! again in the open forum especially under the guise of not wanting it to esculate things further. It reflects on you poorly.

Doorjam you are by far not the first person who left and became the mortal enemy of his former squadmates. Take a deep breath, stop responding, have a coke, and a smile. As one of peanut gallery I had completely forgotten about this whole mess. Im aware you didn't "start it" but there have been at least five replies where you could have ended it.

Spawn carrying a grudge tends to do you more harm then good. Sort of like a Rock around one's neck. It may suprise you know Im not loved amongst one of my former squads for the way I left... I handled the ending poorly-ish because I just felt so damn guilty wanting to leave. I didn't screw the pooch as hard as Doorjam in execution but some still hold less then kind thoughts of me to this day. That's errrm three years ago or more. Im ok with it, since unlike Doorjam I don't feel guilty just *facepalm* at not handling it better

This healing moment brought to you by someone who should have kept out of this mess

MrC, I don't care about any of this anymore. I said my piece back in April on the SF boards. Dorjan and I remain online friends to this day.

MrChaos wrote:QUOTE (MrChaos @ Oct 4 2010, 11:29 AM) It reflects on you poorly.
To be honest I did stop at that sentence and was ready to hit the add reply button. However, too much had been already aid in public. In my opinion the story needed to be righted. Yes it's drama, but to me this needed to be aired out once and for all. I think Dorjan and Sp4wn have had this bottled up for a long time now.

Dorjan and I exchange PMs regularly and our relationship as it stands 5 minutes ago is still on great terms.

HSharp wrote:QUOTE (HSharp @ Oct 4 2010, 10:28 AM) It really is that black and white, Allegiance is a competitive game, squad games are supposed to be highly competitive ergo squad games are fun, however when squad games are not competitive it is not fun, if your not going to be competitive then why are you playing SG's and wasting other peoples time?

I'm not asking squads to do training regimens and put in a quota of minimum hours they should play but is it so hard to ask that you try to win squad games? Every squad needs someone who shouts at people doing badly, SysX are blessed by having 3 people which is why we are the best, so please other squads, get a person who publicly verbally berates your squaddies who fly around in circles, it does wonders!
What Hsharp means to say is SysX is a squad governed by the idea of redemption! Take Hsharp for example. Yes the monocle wearing "u" adding Brit. I forget what he did last game but it was something along the lines of attempting to engage the Imperial Starfleet with one snowspeeder. After shaming him for his lack of SC 2 skill he was amazingly uber for the rest of the game!

Sounds crazy but it works.

p.s. he is still however no better at sc 2
