Currently we have the probably unintended situation where heavy cloak use is rare and non-cloak carrying ships have a significant boost.

Maybe normal weight ships and a somewhat lighter heavy cloak would be the way to go. Whichever way it goes, I voted for normalising small ship mass (and upping the fig scale).

How will this affect those with 220+ ping versus a green ping?

High ping = less zippy ships means they aren't jumping around so much.

I want to see it used ever. Generally the only time I see it used on bios fighters or ints is when they are screwing around or noobish. If mass were to be normalized without decreasing the weight of the heavy cloak (perhaps for bios only) the device would basically be crippling, bringing those who brought it from 'sluggish fighters' to 'lead space targets'. If it were normalized so that the heavy cloak-using fighters were as current and the bios ships were only marginally better without it, then it might actually see some interesting uses.

Edit: Need to stop leaving this open then finishing responding hours later. Yes, what Adept said.

Wait... so people aren't using heavy cloaks on their bios ships?? No wonder bios are losing so often!

A bios int while cloaked can boost with a sig of around 40. well worth the mass IMO

Some of you guys are really making the dev teams life a misery by bringing forward discussion in a Poll.

Its making me angrah, and I am not even part of the team.

Note: I just got back from a 2 day away trip where after 3 months of having people bull@#(! to me about getting a brief right, they are finally starting to think through the problem at the last minute and are costing dollars and time I dont have.

There has been enough discussion both out here in the public and back in the CC office to determine this: Bios needs a nerf. That decision has ALREADY BEEN REACHED. That is why there is NO "no change" option.

Right now the discussion is "What is going to change?" It's like US politics, there is no "none of the above" option. Get over it, or start spending as much time posting in here about how the lack of a "no change" option isn't fair and start spending it at your local government complaining about the same damn thing.

Unless you live in some foreign country and your system works differently. In that case, cite the sources and explain the "none of the above" ballot option and we'll consider making an exception for you.
