Huh, while I have your attention, how does winning and losing effect point scores? Is it some sort of multiplier? Perhaps since I lost the score was halved or something?

winning/losing does not change score.
What core was it on?

Actually, I've noticed in DeathMatches particularly that the winning team gets twice the score for their kills... It could just be that the Commander gets bonus points for leading his team to victory...

Yes, the winning team gets their score x 2.
