I remember having 400+ playing 15+ games on AZ at the same time. Add about as many on FZ and you end up with 800 playing at the same time. Then, when you consider that most allegiance players don't play at the same time, I'd then to say 2000 or 3000+ .

Another site that also contains Alleg and is also easy to find is ( http://play-free-online-games.com/games/games_all.html ) This was how i first made contact with Allegiance.
