I don't think you can. Turret zoom = throttle, and you don't want to have zoom and throttle on the same key.

Actually you got me thinking. If I map, say, my wheel to , and . and then map < and > to throttle, I could use Shift while in a turret. Have to try I suppose. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
Edit- Tested it, what do you know, it works. /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

you could also have a button that switches from the wheel controlling zoom to throttle, so you press the button to make it switch from normal zoom to turret zoom when you're in a turret (that's what mpAL does). means you only need to press the button once you enter the turret, not hold it down every time you want to zoom.

I'm using the controls set forth in "Remapping Your Controls" in Cadet I. However, I'm using a laptop, which as as you may know doesn't have a numeric keypad. I've tried to set new buttons for "Toggle Mouse Control" to either the Forward Slash (/) or a Shift+Enter combination. However, neither one allows me to fly with the mouse.
Just to be clear, Toggle Mouse Control will allow me to control the yaw, pitch, and turn of my ship with my mouse, right?
i use a laptop and unless i am mistaken all laptops even older ones have a fn button that if you hold down and hit m is the same as hitting 0 on the numpad so just hit fn+m and prob solved
