You joined in mid 2006, about 6-8 months later the senate was dissolved, how would you even know what the senate did?

the senate did kinda suck for ability to move quickly and deal with things they don't understand.

i tried to propose a change to the game settings options to allow more types of money setting and resource settings and kill limits etc. i made a very nice explanation and list of what had changed and what was new and how mine was different to what we had.

a few weeks later they replied asking me to explain how mine is different to what we have / what has changed / is new. i was left thinking "i thought i did do that" so i gave up trying to get it approved.

If you guys want to go off and start your own servers WITHOUT ASGS, go right ahead. I'm curious to see what that community would look like. I need a good laugh.

I am going against my better judgment to type a serious reply.

First of all, this poll means nothing because not everyone in game comes to these forums and because it is simple enough to create multiple nicks and vote multiple times.

Second, TE and BV work their asses off to make this game playable for you. Show some gratitude and some respect yourself. While you might not agree with every decision, these guys are forced to make controversial decisions all the time for the sake of this community. Try putting yourselves in their position for once. It's easy to criticize their decisions when you don't have to put your own reputation on the line for the sake of the community. You can critique them all you want with no ramifications to yourself. Heck some of you even get a little boost in the eyes of others for making posts like this. But the reality is, if you were in their position, you'd have to make some damn hard calls, and know that no matter which way you decided, some people would be pissed and would bitch at you for it.

Now while BV and TE are not perfect, they are pretty damn good admins and quite fair. Before you attempt to kick them out, you should consider who might take their place. That person or persons might be a lot less generous, a lot less understanding, and do a lot more harm to the community. Besides that, I know both TE and BV are serious when they voted yes to this poll. Either one would gladly give up their responsibilities and just play the game. They serve this community because they believe they are helping and working in its best interests. I can only imagine how disheartening it is to read a post like this after all the work that they do. Now if you have constructive criticism it might be a good idea to PM these guys instead of trying to drum up drama like this. They are both reasonable people and very approachable. Making posts like this just hurts things.

Now. Back to jokes. I put myself forward as candidate for supreme chancellor. As my first act, I will raise a grand army of allegiance to crush the increasing threats of the stackers!
