I pretty much already know how I'm going to do my videos and have my website set up. The videos will be recorded at either 1024x768 or 1280x768 and downscaled to probably the same resolution my other game video site has if you looked at it, around 600x450. I find that to be the sweet spot. The only thing that is really left to decide is if I will stick with FLV or figure out this x264 stuff if it will make the filesize smaller.

I may make a very rough test this weekend based on the nanning training mission to show you a prototype.

Looking forward to it AEM.

My main aim is usability and accessibility before I even write a single word in a script, not to mention recording anything. I just think that we will be starting off on the wrong foot if we all have our own standards. I do not want to have any control or say on any other peeps content this would be very unhelpful.
For just the sake of playback into a flash player surely having everyone sing off the same hymn sheet is preferable? If Immz will provide what he believes is the best settings for 600 by 450 and playback, I too would like do some testing. (links for kit or ftp required)I just think FLV is by far the wrong route AEM. Especially if you can get away with streaming a more usable format. Who is splashing out on Flash? Not me. I will install it for the 30 day demo to make a player but that is about it.As long as meta data and the file format is right, where my or any files are stored is of little concern to me. (rss & css are my friend.)
Oh and I need to PM Mr Lawson to get his permission to borrow his voice box when required. Apart from that I want a topic for me to try and work on over this weekend!!!!!!!!!!

I'll film something and encode it to x264 as a showcase for you.

Right, well I'll get the footage recorded. Apparently if I can watch anime on my computer, I'll have the CCCP which has x264, so I'll see what happens there.

What video editing program do you use ImmZ?

Nice AEM! Is that embedded into flash or streamed FLV?

If you still need a site for downloadable Videos, i have found this one to be quite usable.

One of the worst dogfighters this game has yet seen. And still, Cadet II made even me better!

Ta Adaon..bookmarked.

AEM do you have that movie in any other format so to allow some testing on it?

Edit: Or any quality clip that is the right size that can be tested?

I have an Adobe Premiere license from work. It's not the latest, but it gets the job done.
