The history of open-source Allegiance is paved with the bodies of dead code branches, forum flame wars, and personal vendettas. But a community remains because people still love the game.

2010:

- January-June - SysX wins the Squad League 2010 (2nd XT, 3rd RT and PK, 5th BS, 6th ACE, 7th SRM, 8th SF, 9th GB)
- March - The 10th Anniversary gets celebrated by a week of games on old cores. (http://www.freeallegiance.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=55795)
- August - SysX/GB won the Squad Doubles Tournament 2010 (2nd PK/SF, 3rd RT/SRM, 4th BS/ACE)
- September-November - RT wins the Squad Tournament 2010 (2nd SysX, 3rd XT, 4th GB, 5th PK, 6th ACE, 8th SRM, BS and SF hadn't enough players to finish the tournament)

- January 15th - Dark Side of the Moon merges with Black Shadow

- June - Adam4 handed over Training Zoneleader position to notjarvis
- June - Bard takes over Development Zone from Cortex
- August - FreeBeer replaces ImmortalZ as Tech Support Zoneleader

- Febuary - The squads Wildcards and Slipshod Research & Mining merdge and create a new squad named Mos Eisley Cantina
- October - New Squad Knights Who Say NI forms

- April - Blackviper gets replaced by Beer as Enforcement Zoneleader

- Febuary - New installer fixes several standard problems of Tech Support
- FAZ R6 development slowly makes some progress

- April 1st - During the Anniversary Game more than 70 people showed up, but the lobby died?!
- Febuary-May - Squad League ends with RT as winner (2nd NI, 3rd SysX and BS/SF, 5th MEC, 6th PK/GB/XT)
- September-December - SysX wins the Squad Tournament 2012 (2nd NI, 3rd RT, 4th MEC/PK, 5th BS/SF)

- June - XenoTech squad disbands
- July 30th - The German Borg squad dissolved after 12 years
- Community
- January - MrChaos becomes Community Leader
- May - MrChaos range quits
- October 30th - Zone Leader system gets abolished and TE appoints pkk as community administrator.
- November - Beer hands over Enforcement to Papsmear
- November - The Senate is back, for the first election period pkk appoints two of four Senators, while the others are elected by the community.
- Development
- Febuary - ACSS enters the public Beta phase
- May 14th - After a large scale test FAZ R6 gets released
- October 15th - ACSS goes live
