lol but you need a higher chance of getting more! /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />

hasnt anyone done something like, ride a mountain bike down a steep trail without crashing and with no breaks and slow down and wonder why the hell and how you survived? i went through, podded weedman, aarm, and saints and almost to the point where i was crying because i was laughing so hard on how the hell i survived. its a lot easier if you have a 44 kb..

besides it makes the game more interesting

Just a non sense thought: What if you got KB by GETTING PODDED? hehehehehe.
What if the vet that whored 4 noobs several times easily starts to get whored easily by them instead?

What if anytime you wipe out a bomb run you start to get worried about the power of the next bmb run?

Do you kill the defeated enemy for his kb gained, or let him waste time?

Would PK become a true tactical choice?

Would you as a pod try to desperately run away and keep your new kb so you can build it up more?

Would you allow to get poded only to raise kb? And what happens to your team then? what if you find the enemy tries to do the same? then what wins the game, the fighting or the tactics?

What if the moron team you stacked against, after getting wiped out several times starts to kick your ass with its KB? wouldnt it be a real AUTOBALANCE of vet vs noob? Would they win or still lose by their lack of teamwork? Would it be harder to win them? would it really be a challenge to win?

What if a team of good players cant kill bases and defenders easily because the enemy got a kb? (yeah I hate good players team getting help with the kb when is the moron team who really needs help)

Would Kill Bonus still be named that way? or would it be something like Noob Bonus, or Pod Bonus, or Balance Bonus?

Ok thats me going against the world with my ideas, but I like it this way /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />
But only for having a laugh would be fun to play with this Balance Bouns one or two times.

While I disagree with Adaven's initial premise ("KB was designed to add more realism to the game") I do agree that it adds an interesting 'dynamic' to the game. It can probably be improved on however.

I liked the idea of getting 'points' that you could then 'spend' on upgrades of your choosing. Yes that means better players get more perks, but as long as they are not unbalancing, the perks would be a nice reward. Perks could be for ships (last until you get podded) or for pilots (last until you get pod killed).

I'd like to see points acquired based on scouting, con defense, as well as kills however.

whenever one of your probes spots a base killing ship (has flags to warn capture / warn other thing) it gives you points to spend.

probes = points = more people probing /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

wait! we are rewarding exactly the same things we wanted to reward in end game points remember.

points for nanning / con D how much damage you repaired etc

I like the idea of KB, but I think it's a little unbalanced. It should give you and edge, but it shouldn't allow you to completely dominate. Like someone else said, I like racking up a high kb and then jumping in someone's turret. Makes you harder to kill and as long as your bbr is well nan'ed, you become even more of a threat. The KB is of more value that way but I don't neccessarily agree with being able to do it.

nothing better than a 38KB nan on a bomb run:). . or better yet, on an htt run . `4.

i get a high kb and unless i'm D'ing, i stay out of the fights and nan (if proper tactic, i'm NOT stupid)

Dogbones: that is a wicked bad idea /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> I can see why your the lead!

On a side note I just want to point out that holding up as 'by design' is not a great arguement for keeping a feature. In the end Allegiance is a failed game, it bombed for a number of reasons one of them being its hard for a newbie to compete and KB doesn't help that, it hurts them.

Personally I like the idea of a rewards system to keep pilots happy. Dogbones is the best idea, reward everyone who does a role well not just podding people (which is the Glory Road /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> ).

As for 'realism' put in limited lives and see how fast people pod kill, it needs some tweaking but I think that would add more of an edge than KB. Limited lives would be better put as limited equipment, once you run out you can only take the more basic stuff (i.e. 5 lives would equal access to the non-basic stuff once it is used up you would be back to taking out lt ints, scouts, basic fig, basic bomber etc).

Now THAT would be interesting /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

p.s. I don't really care about KB but I always thought it was a bad idea on the devs part, it felt really last minute.

BAH KB iz neccessary.... And it helping bomberz roxxxxx....... How else am I to solo tech basez in a sb.....Whore Up the proper bonus... then sb... But I agree with an early part of this thread.. the KB kap should be removed.. Making it go 1 to 99.. and U should go UP one point per kill.....az it iz itz only like 20 or so killz for a 40 somethin......With my way.. U would need to get 40 killz to get a 40 bonus (( and other then Weed ele me and a few others.. a 40 weould never be seen)).. And az to dogfightin.. SUPER important...... the team with the superior dogfighterz usually komez out the victor..when U kan take out 3 of the opposing teamz playerz alone.....Thatz a trully nice advantage...

I was thinking it be in the side collumn with the 'Conquest' 'Deathmatch' and similar options. 100% KB, 50% KB, 0% KB, maybe also have a starting number, from 0-10 perhaps
