Tim, he was joking... while I didn't know the film reference, I found it fairly obvious that he was joking =P The Canadian's aren't communist, obviously. Everybody knows that the Canadian's are run by a dictator by the name of Vicente Fox.

Either that, or they attract a stack and win all the time, causing more of a stack and more wins. ELO will occasionally record these wins, thus leading to comm wins on the leaderboard, thus leading to more wins.
How exactly is this relevant to a squad's SG commander? You don't get to pull or not pull a stack in a SG you know /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

I dunno what problem you guys have, let them form a new squad if they want to. If they manage to get enough ppl it should be fine.
And besides about the stacking and having good comm. SF wasnt in any better shape when they started and got bashed a lot. Let the ppl develop and i think it is possible for them to become one of the best if they put some effort in it. SysX was formed by Noobs as well afaik.

As long as the guy plays by the rules, let him give it a go. I think he has the picture - it's hard and time-consuming. I mean, what if the United States just quit when the Germans bombed pearl harbor?! We'd still be Communists just like the Canadians. So I'm not gonna sit here and listen to you bad mouth the United States of America......gentlemen....

Now, on to other things besides commy Canucks. Let the newbies try to form a squad. FFS man, just becuase someone has some energy and time to try, don't discourage them. What is the worst that happens -- you get some in game spam and the squad does not make it. How does that hurt anything? Are existing squads desperate for playersright now -- I think not. So give the guy a break and lay off. As was said above -- he has the wisdom of everyone's collective squad forming experience -- let him/her run with it and see what happens.

That's sort of true. We formed during a time when most people were 'newbs' by today's standards. You have to remember that in 2000 the most experience ANYONE had was appx 2 years... including beta testers... but the vast majority of players had less than one year of experience. So relative to today's population it would be like a group of Inter 7's - Vet 2's getting together to form a squad. I think SandTiger was our highest ranked early recruit and at that time he was like Vet 7 or something.
