A single scout armed with QF can decimate a Rix SB run by shooting down their drones as they launch and then killing off the SBs themselves

Glancing at ICE tells me that you need to use QF3 for drones (QF1/2 have a damage of 40 against the drones, which have a HP of 50), while qf3 should indeed kill them in one shot.

QF's are mainly a nerf to voobs

but they do have some uses

Which cap can hold 180 quickfires? Oh, and Don't forget that QF's have a psychological effect. It makes you feel very confident against things much, much bigger than you... or maybe not.

QF's give voobs only a slight edge over noobs. Provided you can lock?

QF on a giga lux fig work well, use your newb guns to take out their shields and a slavo of QFs to finish off your prey.

additionally, they are great for taking out AC/SC drones, well the missless themselves arent, but you can carry a lot of them.

basically the turrets are more concerned about missles flying around than you, so they all are shooting at your missles while you gun down the towers. towers are useless 1v1 vs a semi-intelligent player

Just fyi:
Your average fighter can hold either 4 or 5(adv) dumbfires, and 5 or 6 quickfires. Obviously, don't use the QFs on fighters. If you're going to use QFs on a ship that can't hold many missles, make it a scout, because if you're going to use the QFs on a ship with small misslie capacity it'd better be for Ding against Rixian Tac, or killing a tower.

Quickfires are MUCH more useful on a ship that can hold a &%#@load of them, like pre-4.50 Vanguards, or your average gunship. I think a GS that can hold 6 hunters holds at least 12 QFs.
