Don't get it. The garr just looked so big, I didn't expect to see it as soon as I exited the aleph. If on the other hand it did have lazers, then me running would have made sense. Anyway, I had to change my pants after that.

I understand the last post but don't understand the two before it.

I doubt that anybody would care if a scout ran from the enemy home sector at the beginning unless it was an opening SR. Really, I find the everybody shouting "boot him" part completely absurd, what were you on?

Also Death, that booting wasn't ironic at all. Had you suggest something that would actually help the team then maybe...

About the scout getting booted for running away, I'm guessing one side did something major at the beginning like push a con or rush the miners or something, and he wasn't paying attention to the chat, so while the entire team was being called away to do some critical task he was flying around in panic ignoring everything. That's the only scenario in which I could see anyone caring about a scout flying aimlessly around, and he was almost definitely missing SOMETHING if he managed to find his way all the way to the enemy home sector in the initial scouting without being called away to defend/attack a miner/constructor, especially if it was a PUG. In which case it's completely justified. Unless he made it up (or was on acid). Running from a garrison? Seriously?

He obviously wasn't in his right mind to be playing Allegiance and deserved to be booted. If fear of a garrison overrides a player's gameplan enough to actually get him/her to fly without relavent purpose then that player is hurting the team and should try to regain composure as soon as possible.

EDIT: Of course most emotional reactions that cause a non game-winning action are boot worthy. But those reactions are part of what makes the game fun. The trick is not to tell anyone you are freaking out while it's happening cause they might boot you. =P

I once flew an entire game using keyboard when my mouse broke. Participated in bomb runs, probed, etc without anybody noticing

Mouse is obvious better for flying than keyboard, but using keyboard isnt that hard.
